Hunger Games 2: Grandeur
>
Starting Platforms
Amarissa stood on her platform, eyeing the ballgown with disgust. She could work with it, no doubt, but the frills were terrible. Her mask was beautiful, she had to admit, and just her style. Everything was ornate and crafted wonderfully, as though out of a storybook. And she waited.
Elektra rose onto her platform, tugging at the lace on her sleeve. She hated the gown she was wearing - it was so overdone. Those hoops had to be at least three feet in diameter. Her green eyes peered out from behind the filigree mask, scanning the opulent marble walls and gilded pillars. This place looked like a dream. A Capitol one.
Lavi looked around at the outfits with an expression a mixture of confusion, well-fuck, and disgust. He spotted Elektra's bright green eyes through the sea of masks and nodded to her. Everything about this place was fancy and white and cold, and he hated everything about it.

Kayne felt absolutely mortified as the platform lifted him up into the arena to show all of Panem how he looked in a Tudor-era masquerade costume. Nevertheless, he managed to maintain his composure, taking in the arena. It was nothing like he'd imagined it. What the hell am I gonna do here?
Elektra nodded back, jerking her head at the one door in the room. That was where they would go. She stared at the Cornucopia, eyes calculating. There were no weapons. No supplies, either. That's a new level of useless. Still, this was a palace. Odds were she'd be able to find something.

((Ikr))
Andy grinned, looking around. Oh, she loved this. A masquerade! Brilliant! And the outfits were a nice touch too. A little impractical, truly, but she couldn't help but love it. It was extravagant and elegant, just like her.
Fey stood, shaking, on his platform. His costume felt like it was suffocating him. He looked around frantically for Liam and Xia, needing to know where they were. Elektra's warning replayed in his mind, over and over again. Stay away from the Cornucopia.
Apollo sighed, knowing how much of an idiot he looked like and also quite aware of the fact that he was probably going to die, and therefore so would his mom. Well, I guess they're responsible for at least one extra death these Games, he thought glumly. He literally did not see a single thing he could use and he could barely move in his costume because he was so unused to how it felt.

Almana looked around with a scowl. She had been expecting something fucked-up, but this was a whole different level. She spotted one of the canes in the Cornucopia and decided to go for that, waiting for the countdown to end.
Kayne took up a starting position on his platform, ready to dash into the heart of the Cornucopia for whatever stuff might be in there. It seemed like it would at least contain the least-useless stuff.Fey just trembled on his platform.
Apollo glared at everyone, having half a mind to step off the platform and blow himself up.
Elektra waited, tense. Numbers. Her brain latched onto the numbers. Not helpful. I need to get out of this room. She had a plan. She had a strategy. She had an ally. The Bloodbath was the primary danger here. Her mind knew that, but her body was still in fight-or-flight mode. But knowing calmed her down.
Kayne sprinted to the Cornucopia.Fey ran the other way.
Apollo backed up a few yards, deciding what to do.
Elektra jumped off her platform, nearly tangling in her skirts, and ran for the door, her hands ripping at the swaths of silk across her panniers.
Lavi almost jumped off his platform a second too early, but stopped himself just in time. That could've been bad. He sprinted for the door that Elektra had pointed out.
Fey stopped, looking around wildly for his allies. "Liam! Xia! Where are you!" he called, terrified.
Eyes wide, Xia trembled on her platform. She fingered the yin-yang pennant hung around her neck, stiff with panic. Again, she remembered her mentor’s words: Go get ‘em, tiger.” Courage. The girl smiled slightly, then looked out across the field. All the tributes stood at the ready, more or less. Xia, on her part, was just trying to hold back the tears. The countdown. She took a deep breath and held it. Finally, the word, “GO!” Terrified, Xia faltered a moment, then darted off the platform...
((*pretend I was here XD I am so sorry*))Gabriella was terrified, but she would survive.
Do it for your family.
She took a deep breath. Get out of there as fast as possible, and run away. Even in the dress. The clock started counting down. Clearing her mind, she touched the locket that hung at her throat.
You can do it.
"GO!"
Then, Gabby did what was the only logical response. She ran.
Fey ran over to Xia. "Xia, we gotta get out of here! Where's Liam?" he asked frantically, his eyes wide in fear.
Xia squealed in terror as Fey came up behind her, slapping him across the face when she realized who it was. “DON’T DO THAT!” The twelve-year-old squeaked as she turned back to the field, looking for their protector. “I don’t know! Where’d he say to meet?!”
(Cornucopia, but you RP like it was when everyone else got there since they all started at the same time)

((Cornucopia, but you don't have to. That's where the Bloodbath happens. There are a lot of other topics, you can go to any one!))

. . . while she ran, Gabby looked for the people who were supposed to be her allies: Apollo, Creed, and Deven. She saw Apollo and ran over."Don't kill me," she said. "Let's go. Do you want supplies or no?"
She glanced over to the Cornucopia, where the bloodbath was already starting. She figured she could grab something from the outer ring without dying.
"Ouch!" Fey yelped, holding his stinging cheek which was now slightly red. "Sorry! Um...um... I don't know! Liam!" He was breathing heavily, completely panicked.

(well, any one that's by the Throne Room. you can't teleport.)

“ShHhHhH!” Xia’s eyes darted around wildly to see if anyone had noticed them. “We should probably be quiet...”

((Sadly Apollo's already been killed so... sorry should've warned you. I was just overwhelmed with 3 characters))

Each girl is dressed in a satin and lace ballgown, with full panniers, hoops, petticoats and stomacher. The sleeves are ruffed lace, the skirts decorated with swaths of silk and brocade, embroidered down the waist and skirt. They are also wearing corsets - not whalebone or steel, but stiff enough to be a burden.
Each boy is dressed in puffed-silk breeches, ending at the knees and tucked into tall stockings. Over this is a waistcoat and a polonaise-style jacket, trailing to past the back of the knee with an annoyingly stiff ruffed-lace neckline. Each piece of the outfit is embroidered fancily, even the sash slung across their shoulders and hips. On their feet are slick heeled boots.
Every Tribute wears an ornate silver masquerade mask, covering from across the brow to just past the cheekbones.
The first thing you notice is the marble walls. You’re inside. And judging by the splendor and gold decoration, it’s a palace. The air is a little colder than usual, and everything has a surreal air to it. It’s beautiful, every wall sculpted or painted, the ceiling molded with gold filigree, arching pillars stretching overhead. Imposing and dreamy at the same time.
