Halls of dark, dank stone. Much less welcoming and opulent than the starting rooms, these are lines of gruesome cells, this is a maze of gloomy dark passages lined with cells. The few high windows are barred, letting in little light. With what you can make out, each cell is equipped with chains and shackles embedded in the stone walls. The only things that aren’t too terrifying are the rotting wood benches that serve as beds.
It’s too dark, too ominous, too forbidding. And then, in what seems to be the center of the dungeons, there is a bloodstained guillotine, wicked axe blade gleaming.
