Andrea Humphrey (andreahumphrey) | 2 comments Hi, I have just joined this group. I am a qualified Local Preacher for the Methodist Church, however, I have not attended church for a while. As we are coming up to advent could you recommend a book that covers this period of time.Preferably one with prayers included.
Many thanks Andrea

Karen L. Hi Andrea.
Welcome to the Anglican Group. I will look into good Advent books with prayers included. You may get ideas from other group members as well. Glad to have you join us and hope you enjoy the group!

Blessings,
Karen

Andrea Humphrey (andreahumphrey) | 2 comments Hi Karen, many thanks for looking for books for me.I am sure that I will enjoy belong to this group. Sometimes I just need a bit of support and I am so thankful that I believe that there is a God and that I can talk to him.

Just a bit about myself. I have three children Michael a joiner he is my eldest. Jennifer has just got married and she works with computers. Debra my youngest has just started at Falmouth university studying marine photography and media studies. I am now retired and so enjoy my new hobby of writing and catching up on reading and other hobbies. I like going for walks especially in the countryside as I find it to be very relaxing.I need to start going to church again but after a break I feel strange going back for the first time.
Every Blessing Andrea

Karen L. Hi All,

Happy Advent! Is anyone doing anything special for Advent? I need some encouragement to keep on in my advent devotional readings, even when I forget to do them. I've got to just pick up and do it even if I am skipping some of the daily readings. I don't need to check my email first thing in the morning, I need to check in with Jesus!

Tell us some advent memories, or what you are doing for advent.

Blessings,
Karen
