Exactly! I don't know anyone who's homophobic, but some of my classmates are uncomfortable with the words lesbian, gay, bisexual, etc. You know what I mean? It's just they don't usually hear those words. I don't know why people would think not being straight means that they automatically are a bad person. And like, LGBTQ+ books are good!
How old was the guy?

You know...... before I actually learnt about the LGBTQ+ community I actually thought that people can only be straight. Otherwise it just seemed wrong to me...... And now I feel like I like girls too, but I'm not quite sure.....
