Let's discuss chapters 10-18 here.

Reb and Michael abduct the woman they have been watching. While things definitely were brutal and gruesome, it was over rather quick. I expected things to drag out and make us all a bit uncomfortable as we read along...but I was surprised at how quickly the Morrow's killed her and had Michael take care of the body (although Michael's interaction with the corpse was a bit disturbing).

I'm waiting on the edge of my seat for things to fall apart between Michael and Alice, and anticipating it all crumbles at the hands of Reb. Michael's innocence is so pure...even his simple enjoyment from eating a Big Mac is so endearing...

I think the scene with the abducted women was a little rushed as well. I don’t know what that says about me lol! I did find Michael’s disposing of the body to be pretty disturbing.

I’m waiting for Reb to do something either to Alice or to out Michael in some way as a form of revenge. From the backstory we know that Reb basically blames Michael for what happened to LauraLynn. I bet things will amp up in this next section :)

Side note: I’m listening to the audiobook and I have to say I wouldn’t recommend it. The narrator does a good job with the accents, but his “narrator” voice kinda clashes with the story for me, like it sounds too upbeat and proper if that makes any sense...and the rhythm of his sentences is getting on my nerves. He always does these dramatic pauses before the last two words of the sentence so it just sounds weird. He also pronounced deja vu as deja view and I’m like what? So anyway I’m done whining lol! I hope everyone is enjoying the read :)

Ok, the drama is definitely beginning to amp up now. Obvi something is going to happen with Alice and Michael. Don't know exactly what it's going to be...

I am wondering if that older woman that they killed...and then (vomit) ate...was Michael's biological mother?

There is some equal plot that Reb/Ray is planning and it's going to be BAD.

Vanessa I didn't even think that, she knew his name and the necklace was an "M".

Liking the thought of Michael getting out of there, but since he mentioned to Reb, I don't see it being possible now and curious what will become of the question. Reb is no good! I would like to see Michael and Alice get out of there, but she definitely wasn't happy about his age.
