Hi Allison - I'm going to move this question onto the main page so that more members will see it :)I can think of some strong female romances from years ago, but I don't read MF much anymore. Hopefully someone will be able to help you!
Allison wrote: "Thankyou Jane"Oh - I know. Check out Spider's Bite (dominant female lead for sure) and Halfway to the Grave. I loved the first book's series, and maybe the second book's series might suit?
would you consider a unique concept like a nymphomaniac and a man with mental illness? it's definitely a cute but steamy book. The Innocent Beast
Hi everyone! I’m looking for some recommendations (if this is in the wrong place I apologize!). I really liked Linda Howard’s Running Wild and am looking for similar titles. Books where the heroine works for the hero. I’m fine with most sub-genres, except contemporary. I’d love there to be some external conflict similar to this one.
Thank you in advance for any recommendations you can think of!

Hi Allison! I just returned a book last night on my kindle for this exact reason. I found myself rolling my eyes at his "strong, blah, blah, " We like to think OUR books are romance and WOMEN positive! They are more rom-com than erotic dominance. Would love for you to check them out. (feels like a shameless self promote but sincere!!! Promise.)
Hi Allison - I think you would like the female lead in my new book! She's a strong, smart, independent woman with a sort-of Ruth Bader Ginsburg element to her. The book also starts in the '80s so she is having to take on the male-dominated business world in addition to looking for love and family.
Hello all, Happy 2022! I'm looking for some recommendations for DDlg, MC and alien romances. Some of my favorites authors so far have been Laylah Roberts, Jessica Gadziala, Anne Malcolm and Corin Cain. I've pretty much read everything these authors have written. I've read a few new ones here and there, but so far have not come across anything good. Help!!
It's a beautiful and funny love story set in Spain with engaging characters. I couldn't put it down and I finished it in just a few hours. Not cheesy, typical or predictable at all. It was a great surprise and I felt like I was leaving my friends behind
Hey ! I'm looking for a similar book Gates of Myth and Power #1The King's Captive by
K.M. Shea Thanks :)
Looking for a well-developedfull-length novel about a romance between a married woman and a younger man in which the married woman becomes pregnant by the other man.
I haven't been able to find much that matches this description.
Already read "The Arrangement" by Sarah Dunn, "The Bridges of Madison County" by Robert James Waller, & "The Stolen Marriage" by Diane Chamberlain.
All of the above feature elements of what I'm looking for, but nothing has the whole package.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Rory
Curious if anyone would be drawn to an unconventional autobiography—a journey where trauma transforms into art?Love & Sorcery: My unconventional Autobiography: Naughty Version.
In this tale, I take you deep into a mystical realm where landscapes mirror our own world, fractured and reimagined. Through dark romance and a tapestry of mythical creatures, I share the blueprint of how I survived my ordeals that should have killed me, threading in elements from my developmental studies. This isn’t just my story but a reflection for anyone who’s wrestled with pain or felt helpless in the grip of darkness.
Within its pages, you'll find the delicate balance of pleasure and pain—like a double-edged sword that cuts deep yet reveals hidden truths. Women’s most erotic fantasies intertwine with raw narratives of trauma, offering connection and catharsis for those who need to feel seen and understood.
Within these pages, you’ll find the unspoken truths—the raw, haunting experiences my friends faced as survivors of sexual assault, each story echoing pain from across the globe. This isn’t just a tale of trauma; it’s a collection of voices silenced by fear, betrayal, and a society that shields the guilty while isolating the brave.
For too long, those who suffered were hushed by onlookers, cast aside while their attackers wore masks of virtue. This book is a space to break that silence, to unveil the darkness behind the facade, and to finally give these stories the voice they were denied.
Writing this was a way of relieving the burden of carrying their trauma, allowing the truth to breathe and releasing the weight that has lived within me for so long. If you’ve ever felt unseen or unheard, or if you need to know you’re not alone in the battle for justice and healing, I invite you to witness these stories with me.
Picture an academy with the intrigue of Hogwarts, a land embroiled in war like Lord of the Rings. A love circle similar to Vampire Diaries, and magical creatures with the wisdom of Narnia.
'(^x^My favorite three book series as a kid.^x^)'
& one of the best video series I came across.
This world breathes with rich cultures, unique fashions, and spiritual paths that echo familiar yet distant parts of ourselves. It’s a twist of fate, a dark fantasy that invites readers to explore the beautiful and brutal dance between survival and passion, resilience and release. Curious?
