A first topic: Joanie, a new member, asked if we had live video discussions of our BOTM each month. We do not, but as I listed the reasons it struck me that we don't mostly because written comments is the way we have always discussed our books and I, at least, never even thought of doing a video discussion.
There are potentially some challenges that might be difficult to solve, and I wouldn't want to replace the current method of discussing books, but it may also be that this approach might open the discussion to people who are intimidated at writing down their thoughts.
So, the first question is would there be any interest in adding a video discussion to the BOTM discussions? Would you favor that? If so, would you expect to participate? Or are you opposed to the idea, and if so, why?

worth a try, if someone would be up to hosting/coordinating it; perhaps questions/comments could be submitted ahead of time to overcome some of the time-of-day challenges
Hi, I am trying to find a book I read many years ago. I am hoping someone will recognize the title or author from the little description I can provide. It would have been published before 1997, because that is about when I read it. It was written by a male who was active in his Catholic parish and was making an argument for more lay participation in the church via his personal experiences. So it was part memoir, part argument. I read a paperback edition, and its cover was mostly cream/off-white with maybe a light green scroll like design on the cover. I want to say he lived in the upper midwest/great plains--perhaps Fargo, ND?? But that may not be correct. It was probably a small or religious press. Hopefully someone will recognize it from my description. I read it twice way back then and was really taken by his descriptions of his parish and its community. I want to read it again!
I have a technical question. Am I allowed to comment a comment? I notice some people do but I don’t see a way to do that. This is for future reference. This is my first attempt at being a participant in a Goodreads group. Thank you.
Harry, I am having the same problem. I am using the app on my iPhone. The reply isn’t an option. I may log on to the computer and see if I have better luck.
Thank you for this information, Crystal. I didn’t know that the “reply” link is not available on the app. But I had read complaints before about the app’s lack of features compared to the website.

To reply I must use my computer. Neither the goodreads app nor the goodreads webpage (using Safari and Bing) will allow me to reply to a comment on my iPhone. Oh well. Thank you, Crystal.
We never started an Atrium for 2022, but then this one hasn't been used all that much, so I think we can leave it up.
