I liked it a lot. Sometimes her main characters start to feel a bit whiney or make such bad choices that I get exasperated, bit this lead had a stronger and more confident voice and I liked that.

Hi, I'm Dorothy (or Dot for short) and I read a lot of audiobooks so I am glad to find this group,

I very much enjoyed this thriller by Ruth Ware, if fact I think it is the best one I have read of hers. The author is so good at building suspense. I started it in bed one night thinking that I would just listen to one disc before falling asleep but I kept putting in another disc as I needed to know what was going to happen next. One thing that annoyed me on audio was the short sentences that preceded each chapter. Presumably this was meant to show the reader how the music software presented itself. In print you can gloss over it but on audio it spoiled the effect.

I've just finished listening to "Troubled Blood" by Robert Galbraith (aka JK Rowling) I enjoyed it but it is a real chunkster of an audio book...26 discs! I think it could have been shorter. The plot was interesting but much time is spent on the relationship between Strike and his partner Robin. There is obvious sexual tension there and they don't always agree on investigations,

Great pick…I’ll read more by this author. I was totally caught up in the story after I got the characters set up in my mind and looked up a few words (piste, funicular, and finally choons). Intriguing look at all the relationships: Erin’s and Danny’s special. As a non-downhill skier, I was captured, and holding my breath, by the descriptions of those scenes. Anyone else surprised at lack of chalet’s backup communication or fact that Danny and Erin never expected company that ran chalet (Karen) would be sending help? Two lessons outside the story struck me: Do you know what info your apps have about you and (as the cliché says), don’t underestimate a quiet woman. As I began story, I was reminded of P.J. Tracy Monkeewrench series with its use of social media, technology, suspense and mystery.

I've just finished reading (listening) to 'Night Tiger' read by the author, Yangtse Choo. It is excellent. I have now started "The Interestings" by Meg Wolitzer.

I loved this one! Barb, I've never been skiing but I was definitely holding my breath during those parts. It really made me wonder, what am I sharing with these apps that I download?? I'm going to have to try these other books that you all suggested. A part of me rolled my eyes at the decisions the characters made... but a small part of me was just excited to see where it was going.

I think I am up-to-date on all Ruth Ware's books now. I have a list of favorite authors and/or series that I check to see when new things come out. I really liked The Turn of the Key as well. The twist there surprised me more than any of her other books.
