ok i hated how taryn had to justify her actions and why she picked locke over jude

i also love how when she was eating the birds with the princess and vivi and taryn wouldn’t stop eating and she was still hungry. I think that was significant because that was when Locke pursued Jude and she was no longer feeling guilty for her actions towards Jude. She is finally feasting at the banquet ;)

I really hope doesn’t sleep well at night. I didn’t like how she was gaslighting Jude the entire apology. She was telling Jude all her wrongs and saying that she has to forgive Taryn bc they are sisters. Like so what LOL. She lost the meaning of loyalty a long time ago when she desired love for a man who only desired chaos

message 12: by Beenish (new)

Beenish (beenishamir) well, you would think after her apology she's be better in the next books. just wait till you read lol

oh no. I feel like she’s unredeemable anyways. It’s hard to change the attitude and the mindset shes in. But yeah... I will never like Taryn

i read it last night, and although Taryn isn't my favorite character (well ofc not lol) i really liked the writing, and i liked the fariy-tale connections throughout. although the BE BOLD BE BOLD BUT NOT TOO BOLD thing was kinda repetitive, i thought it summed up fairy tales and also how women are supposed to act in society really well. i liked reading it right after the cruel prince, but idk how Taryn will act in the second book... sooo ig i'll find out :)

i love how cruel holly black made taryn. how innocent she may seem but she has these intrusive thoughts that showcase her true character. i didn’t like how taryn allowed locke to use jude to show how much taryn loved locke. but what can you do? she was blinded by love

hm yeah i do like how the character is written. she seems so nice and innocent at first, but when we find out more about her, she changes so much
