The Manga Squad discussion

Post about any sweet manga deals you find for our club members to take advantage of.

Humble Bundle has an amazing deal on Attack on Titan right now. For the top donation of $20 (or more if you wanna donate more) you can get volumes 1-26 of the manga plus a ton of spin off material. Even a couple of audiobooks for the light novels. Almost 50 books for $20 it's an amazing deal.

You do have to make an account with Humble Bundle but that's easy and then you get everything DRM free and will work on any eReader. Not to mention the profits go to Doctors Without Borders.

Looks like the deal ends February 3rd.

Not sure if its the same in other countries but the uk comixology site is having a viz shonen sale till 7th feb.

ohhhhh and its good for 20 more days... Question- readable on kindles?

for the humble bundle, sorry cross posted!

So when you buy the Bundles from Humble Bundle you create an account. And from there it saves download links for everything you've ever purchased. For most comic/manga sale like this one you get download links for CBZ,PDF, and ePub files. You then just have to load the files into your kindle from your computer. Your kindle should read PDFs just fine. There are also numerous free comic reader apps available to download on most tablets and PCs.

Well. I spent a lot today. I grabbed up the humble bundle for manga as well as the one for boom comics that is going on. I then grabbed a complete run of Berserk for $164 which is a steal but is still a hefty chunk of change lol.

I am so up for the humble bundle. I think epub is what it uses, but I'll check. Thanks for the info Greg!

For anyone interested Humble Bundle's got a pretty big Yaoi bundle up right now. Go get you some Boy Love.

Kindle unlimited has lots of manga and comics on it. I was actually pretty surprised with hoe much was actually available. just go to the manga, comics, graphic novels section and filter by what's kindle unlimited eligible and you'll see all the cool stuff available there.

Man I was so excited for that Humble Bundle. It's still a great deal however I must admit to being selfishly disappointed that not a single title in that list is complete. They are almost all exactly half of their respective series. Don't get me wrong still great but frustrating. Particularly because I prefer to have a complete run of something on the same format or service. 17 volumes of Air Gear on HB and 17 on Amazon is going to annoy me LoL. That said it's still a steal and I snatched it up no hesitation.

Ha Greg, that was actually my first thought too! The very first HB I got had 13 of 14 of one series *face palm*

This isn't so much a deal as it is a reminder that it's Summer Reading time for your local libraries. Participation can earn you prizes just for reading (free) books, audiobooks, magazines, etc. As an example, mine is giving out bento boxes for reading 9 books or for 9 hours.

Plus your participation can help your library gain funding for more books, more programs, more stuff for you.

OMG Evelyn I am so jealous!!!! I would love to get a bento box as a prize! Mine is giving out a free book for reading 20 days during the summer and you get tickets to enter in raffles for hammocks, chrome books, gift cards and kayaks.

NEW KODANSHA HUMBLE BUNDLE!
https://www.humblebundle.com/books/20...

Ooh sexy. Yoink!

Right! I was so happy to see it has mostly new stuff, other than Blue Lock which was in the last bundle but only the first three.

Yup a number of titles I wanted to check out like Shikimori, A Couple of Cuckoos, and Police in a Pod

And it fits our MotM theme 👍

Yes, it sure does! Shikimori has been on my radar, but that was about it LOL. I need to keep up with manga...

AOT BUNDLE!!!! AOT, Before the Fall, No Regrets, Lost Girls, Middle School, Spoof on Titan and several novels! A complete set, other than Before The Fall- Missing the final 2 volumes of that

Nice I have all these from the last one

Cool Greg! Didn't realize it was the same bundle lol

It probably adds a couple new issues

There is a Hiro Mashima bundle at Humble Bundle right now. You can get all of Rave Master, all of Fairy Tail, 17 volumes Edens Zero, and a lot of Fairy Tail spin offs for $30. The only noticeably missing items would be Fairy Tail Zero,

wow. That's a great bundle

VIZ has an app with subscription now! Sooo much on there chapter subscription, but also alot of shojo beat titles only available for purchase. Still, at 1.99 a month for subscription and free to download the app, it's good to at least look through titles! The King's Beast, Kimi ni Todake and Zom 100 are all included in subscription, as are Queens Quality, Ao Haru Ride, Strobe Edge, Love me Love me Not and Tail Of The Moon, Fly Me To The Moon, Insomniacs after School and so many more I'm excited for!!!

Nice I’ll have to check that out eventually

It seams really good Greg! I was disappointed that Yona of the Dawn and Snow White with the Red Hair were not chapters though :(

Hinamatsuri Bundle!
