the bard (ken97) AGATHA GOSHDARN CHRISTIE!! her books are classics, but they read easy even if classics aren't your thing. i would recommend and then there were none; it's incredible!

the bard (ken97) also, if you don't mind a sci-fi twist, i would recommend the seven deaths of evelyn hardcastle. evelyn hardcastle is going to die every night and the protagonist's job is to find the murderer to break the loop. each day starts over and the protagonist is in a different body. be wary reading reviews, bc a lot of them have spoilers but aren't marked as such! it's best to know as little as possible :)

omg yesss!!! I was going to recommend that one! And then There Were None is probably my first mystery novel (before the Nancy Drew series xD). Her novels gives me such an adrenaline rush...and makes me binge read mystery novels <3

Amelie | 1318 comments Some I’d recommend are: A Good Girl’s Guide To Murder, One of Us is Lying, the Ruby Redfort series, We Were Liars, Truly Devious, and Agatha Christie’s novels! I’ve also heard lots of good things about Stalking Jack the Ripper, and Little Monsters.

Kiley Hawkins | 18 comments If you like mystery with a touch of dark academia (more like a big scoop) you should check out The Secret History by Donna Tartt and Truly Devious by Maureen Johnson!

R6 | 81 comments I started the Robert Langdon series ‘Angels and Demons’ a great mystery and thriller book. It can be a bit complicated since it does include a bit of science.

Audrey (stuckonchapter13) | 1 comments The Girl on the Train or the Guest List are both great choices.

Detective Conan is my go to manga! It's sooo good! I'm more into the manga than the anime...but I have seen a couple episodes :) (I love it cuz the mystery in it is sooo complex and well done~ I always manage to get surprise xD

message 20: by the bard (new)

the bard (ken97) @joyce yes, it is very complex! the amount of work and thought that goes into it is insane
