I’m trying to write a book but damn it takes forever

im thinking about writing a book but I feel like I'd be taking too much inspiration from other people's movies/books and idk LOL, big respect to anyone who's currently writing a book

What I’ve realized is that everyone steals ideas from everyone and makes it their own in their own ways. In every book that I read every movie that I watch I realize that there’s something that isn’t entirely original, but that’s the beauty of how we can use something someone else has used and make it unique in our own ways.

Yeah that’s a nice way of thinking of it

I’m still hoping for that feeling. I think the best feeling of being an author must be holding your published book in your hands with your name on it and just smell and reread it and just really take in what you created
