I actually added this to my want to read for one of the monthly challenges! So I’m excited for this one.

I read this one many years ago on hols and really enjoyed it. I decided not to read Jan’s challenge as anything pandemic-related would risk tipping me over the edge but I could definitely give this a wee re-read! Looking forward to it 🤓📚
This will be my first ever group read and it isn’t one I’d normally pick for myself either. Can’t wait!
Like Station Eleven, I wouldn’t have chosen this book for myself but I’m looking forward to reading it!
I read this in 2013, but I'm excited to read it again. It will be very fitting with the current cold weather!
I am looking forward to reading this one. Station Eleven was not one I would’ve chosen for myself but it was a great book. I’m looking to widening my horizons and step outside my comfort zone, if you will, in terms of reading books.
Just read this for a family book club nomination in December and enjoyed the setting especially. Who would choose to farmstead in Alaska?
I already had this book in mind for one of my Pop Sugar Challenge prompts, and I have been wanting to try joining a group read discussion, so it seems the planets aligned. This will be my first group read. Do I need to do anything special to join in?
I've never read this book before. This isn't something I'd pick out for myself, but the premise sounds very interesting. I'm definitely intrigued.
Michelle wrote: "Do I need to do anything special to join in?"You just need a copy of the book and you can join the discussion at any time :)
You know what really sucks? When you are on a no-buy and your library doesn't have a book you're interested in reading, and you've run out of the "recommendations" you can make on Overdrive. Will just have to get to it at some other point in time :(
Excited to join this reading challenge! I had not heard of this book, so I'm looking forward to diving in!
Unfortunately, I will have to skip this book, as I can't find it anywhere here in Estonia. We have one at a library, but it can't be lent out to be read at home.
ARGH....I have been mulling this over for days. The kindle version is 15 bucks! 15!....BUT I have always been curious to read it....BUT I have a FREE AUDIOBOOK over at Audible dot CA ...BUT THERE IS NO AUDIBLE VERSION OF THIS BOOK! WTF?...um, so yeah- still wondering what to do, if it's worth 15 bucks for a frigging kindle version, prefer paperback for that price, yadda yadda sorry for the thought stream, everyone. My bad. --Jen from Quebec :0)

I am not sure I would want to keep this book, so really not into buying it, especially for that price.
I'm on the first pages of it, nice writing, nice beginning , i think will be an interesting experience.
i stare at computers all day, so a paperback is very welcomed. I'm excited for this one, I don't normally read historical fiction, but I find the time period and geography quite uncommon
Just picked this up from the library! This is my first time joining the book of the month. Excited to read something I wouldn’t have picked for myself! The first couple chapters have me very intrigued (:
I was supposed to read this a few years ago for an in-person bookclub I belong to and for some reason I didn't get to it- so I am glad we are doing it as book of the month.
Just received my copy yesterday and am planning to begin it today. I have no idea what to expect. I rarely ever know much about a book before I read it. I prefer to keep an open mind and allow the author to "take me where they want me to go..." :)
Well, now I'm done with one particular book and now having to wait for the audiobook for the next one, I can now say I can finally start this one even though I'm a little bit late in the month!I'm kinda picky with what I read tbh but this sounded super interesting and enough to buy the audiobook on google play books *shrugs* Normally I wouldn't buy an audiobook on there, but I was desperate since I do so much better with audio and plus my county library branches didn't have it either physically or on Libby. Now I'm excited to read/listen to this! :D

This is where we will be discussion the book prior to the group read. If you're excited for the book let us know! Have you read it before or is it your first time?
