Honeybee is a wonderful book. The text and illustrations are marvelous. It is not my choice for the Gold medal, however. We were introduced to many incredible books in 2020. I truly hope the Committee gives out as many honors as are allowed.
I loved Honeybee. If it is not selected by the Caldecott committee, I expect it to garner a Sibert award or honor.
Good choices! I would pick Honeybee for a Sibert over a Caldecott. My personal favorite of the 3 was We Are Water Protectors. I think it's going to be a difficult year....So many great choices! I hope they pick a lot of honors- 3- 5 would be wonderful.
