I spent some time putting together a list of 50 books by scientists of color to make this month easier. I decided to read Braiding Sweetgrass by Robin Wall Kimmerer, and although I'm just a few chapters in I'm already loving it.

What will you read for February?

Braiding Sweetgrass has been on my list for a while! As has Real Life by Brandon Taylor.

I read Real Life by Brandon Taylor. Feels a little like cheating for science month because it was a novel, but nonetheless. I enjoyed it but it wasn't my favorite novel - I think the cattiness of some of the characters put me off as well as the PhD biochemistry setting. Still Taylor is a wonderful writing - his style and flow remind me a little of James Baldwin himself!
