Camilla unlocked the door as quickly as possible, the unease and paranoia making her uncomfortable. She looked around quickly, ready for a trap, but relaxed partially when she understood that the room contained nothing harmful. She casted a glance in the direction of the other bed. She wasn't sure whether or not sharing the room would be a pleasant experience.
((Maybe come in a little later?))
((She can come in after this!!))
Camilla gave a small sigh an flopped onto her bed, shoving away her impatience and restlessness. She remembered distinctly everything afterAdron's death....and everything before, but the whole part in between...all she could remember was the sweet taste of blood on her tongue. Well, more than usual. She swallowed carefully, snapping herself out of the darkest pit of her mind. Telling herself to enjoy this bed, this room. After five weeks without shelter, she really did deserve a bit of luxury.
It would be indignant if she didn't.

René moved down the hall with quiet steps, making almost no noise. She paused at the door and re-checked the number. This was it. Great. René lifted her hood slightly and listened for any noise from within. There it was. A fair rustle. The room was already occupied. Awesome. She didn’t exactly love that fact that they had to share rooms, but it is what it is. Better to make the best of it. René took a step back and readjusted the hood over the furry ears that gave her Kitsune genes away. It was now or never. The girl tentatively touched the handle, then opened the door, stepping in.
Camilla sat up immediately at the noise of someone entering the room. She replaced when who she saw wasn't a vampire, but kept her face careful. Poised. Unreadable. Probably her new roommate, she guessed, but one could never be too sure.
"Are you that roommate I was supposed to be expecting?" Camilla asked calmly, but with a cold undertone.

René stepped in eyed the girl sitting on the near bed. She saw the pale skin, the eyes. Vampire. Definitely a vampire. The Kitsune suppressed a groan. Oh great. Vampires had to be her least favorite monster of the bunch. And now she was roomed with one. “Are you that roommate I was supposed to be dreading?” [[XD]] René replied in a question with a tone equally as icy.
Camilla allowed herself to crack a small smile in her stony facade.
"It seems so," she said, giving the slightest hint of humor in her voice. She laid back down on her bed in a position that was a combination of sitting and laying down, keeping her stance casual. "It's always nice to be dreaded," she said smoothly, looking at her nails. Pretending not to have been unsettled by her roommate's ease to defy her.

René let out a small snort, either from amusement or annoyance, it was impossible to tell. Oh goody. “Well enjoy it because that’s just about all you’re gonna get from me.” She turned away and moved to her side of the room, tossing her bag onto the other bed. Silently, René looked out the window and sighed inwardly. Was this really how she was going to spend the next year? With some stuck-up, annoying roommate? Oh brother.
Camilla stifled a sigh. Or something worse. This darn roommate, with a fur and a tail-
"What are you, a furry," Camilla muttered under her breath.
This darn roommate, who had this whole darn personality-
"Who is the world gave you the right to have a personality?" She sighed.

René head a slight mutter, but the words were muffled. Annoyed, she sent a side glance Camilla’s way. “If you have something to say, just do it to my face,” the Kitsune snapped, holding back a growl. There was nothing she hated more than murmuring and mumbling. “Well who in the world gave you the right to have an attitude?”
Camilla sat up, offended. Her eyes were wide in haughty indignation.
"The Ventrue gave me the right, of course. I'd like to know who the heck you think you are, to stand up to a Ventrue official like this."
But her stomach tightened, knowing all too well that she was worth nothing, to anyone now. Even to the Venture,
But she had to keep pretending. For her sake.

((...))
René rolled her eyes, trying so very hard not to scoff. Was it it just like a Vampire to get all snooty at a simple retort. Pfft. “Oh, I am sooo sorry,” she gushed, feigning innocent apology. “I didn’t mean to hurt your wittle wampire feelings.” René’s tone dropped to that of a baby voice and she turned away from the other in disgust.
"They would cut out your tongue for having such disrespect," Camilla spat, revolted that this furry didn't even know who the Ventrue were, and dared scorn them. It simply didn't make sense to her.
“Is that supposed to scare me?” René tossed her her shoulder. “ By all means, let them try.” Whatever this ‘Ventrue’ was, she honestly did not care. “We Kitsunes are not without power...” And with power, there is resistance. René’s mind betrayed her and finished the saying. His saying. She felt a spike of pain, but kept it from crossing her face. Now was not the time.
"It's supposed to talk some sense into you," Camilla snapped, growing more and more enraged at every retort. It imply didn't make sense, that one would ignore the Ventrue, name, would feel unthreatened by her presence.
And then-
She realized it. Her stomach dropped like a stone in thrown down a pit, as the horrifying thought crossed her mind:
I'm not doing this right. I let my flaws show. My acting, my lying, failed. She can see my weaknesses, can't she? She can see that I don't mean it.
Her heartbeat picked up but she managed to contain herself on the outside and maintain a hostile demeanor.

“Oh, well I guess it didn’t work, huh.” René unzipped the small backpack she had brought, oblivious to the turmoil behind. In the bag was everything she owned. Well, everything she owned that she cared about. Sorta. Everything that was necessary. None of her mother’s frilly gifts or her father’s practical gizmos. Bleh. René tuned out the vampire as best she could. How they could ever last a year in here together, she had no idea. Stuck-up little bratty bat...
Camilla stifled yet another sigh and calmed her beating heart. She slowly got up, trying to not give the impression that she wants to leave in a hurry. She glances back one last time at Rene, who was ignoring her apparently. Watching the girl unpack some of the things she brought with her. Frilly, stupid little things. Things that, in the end, don't matter. And yet, at least Rene had possessions. Memories. Something from someone. She had something to hold on, unlike Camilla, who had nothing. Rene had everything better, it was obvious. A better life, a better confidence, a better personality. people seem to have cared about her. For a second, Camilla's mask cracked. And a small tear slipped down her face as she watched, even if extremely briefly, this girl who didn't care about her --because who would?--, simply leading her life. Being discontent of futile things. It must be a blessing, being cared for. And being angry about things that don't matter.
Must be nice.
But then, she slipped out of the doorway, into the hall, like a shadow disappearing, having stared only an instant, only a second. She slipped away in her melancholic silence.
Like she was never here at all.
Must be nice.

((Should Camilla and Astra meet up now?))
One of René’s ears swiveled underneath the hood at the soft footsteps. Thank goodness. She resisted the urge to groan in relief before the vampire was our of earshot. That was revolting... The Kitsune flopped on the bed tiredly, not caring that her head was hanging of the other side. Slowly, ever so slowly, Rene sat up. Listening closely to make sure the vampire was long gone, she pulled one more item from her bag. It wasn’t very special, it wasn’t much if anything, really. Just a floppy, gray, stuffed animal thing. But it wasn’t really an animal, at least it didn’t look like one. More of a blob-ish shape to it. (view spoiler) Gently, René picked it up and just looked at it. Oh, how I miss you... Refusing to break, the Kitsune just curled into a ball, holding the thing tightly. Why did you have to leave me...?
((Okay! Where?))
Camilla stumbled in, absolutely horrifyingly covered in blood, her arm twisted in a very . . . unnatural way.
[[OMG... O.o]]
René glanced up from the papers scattered across her desk and wrinkled her nose, taking Camilla in. “Woah. What the fox happened to you?” she snorted, her tone only decipherable as disgust. The Kitsune set down the dull pencil and turned in the swivel chair. She faced Camilla and crossed her arms as well as her ankles, dark amber eyes glinting almost wickedly. René said nothing more but just observed the other girl’s battered appearance.

((Yeah...))
Camilla grinned and let a bit of blood trickle out of her mouth, then sipped it, looking as if she enjoyed it.
Though secretly, inside, she was dying. She was mortified. She had been beaten, again. And she had no idea how to live with herself.
"I'm fine," she lied, very convincingly. She sat down on her bed and layed down, pretending to be okay.
But the pain was torturing her.
"Happens all the time," she lied again, a smile on her face.

[[Uh... What topic did this happen on???]]
René arched an eyebrow. Liar. While not blessed with the intelligence of other kids, she was skilled in fraud and fakes — which was most definitely what was going on here. But did she care? No, not really. “Oh, yeah, and I’m blue.” René spun around again to face the wall, rolling her eyes the whole way. “But please, keep your little secrets to yourself.” Better to destroy yourself without dragging me down with you. Jaw set, she returned to the math in front of her. Shifty little vampires...

Hun følte at bevisstheten hennes slapp unna.
((Fy faen!
