annapi | 5517 comments I thought she was amazing. Anderson Cooper's interview with her was also fascinating: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qHhut...

And compare with this interview from 2018, where you can definitely hear her speech impediment: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OuOMA...

Tracy (tstan) | 1261 comments Anderson Cooper seemed starstruck, didn’t he? Her recitation gave me goosebumps- I can’t wait to see what she’ll do next!

Robin P | 6076 comments The poem is an interesting combination of "free verse" and rap. She said she was inspired by "Hamilton" & Lin-Manuel said she was perfect. There was an interview just a few days ago on PBS where you could hear a little problem with her "r"s, but with the poem at the inauguration, apparently she practiced so much that there was no hint of it.

annapi | 5517 comments LOL yes, Anderson Cooper definitely was starstruck - so was I! Such a composed, articulate, and passionate young woman. I hope she does run for president in 2036!

Theresa | 16060 comments We are all star struck! Amazing young woman and a gifted poet and performer.

Speaking of star struck, Lady Gaga was having serious fangirl reactions as she walked back to her seat and stopped to accept compliments from Kamala then Michelle and Barack.

Sarah | 174 comments Thank you for the link so I can watch over and over. So nice to have a complete package, 'real deal' demonstrating talent, beauty, resilience, intelligence and more. Amanda is a shining star, symbol of the future for me. I hear she is #1 & 2 Amazon best-seller months before publication.

Joi (missjoious) | 3970 comments The line "For while we have our eyes on the future, History has its eyes on us" is a direct reference to Hamilton, "History has it's eyes on you....."
