School for Good and Evil discussion

((A smooth, lovely field, where the students of Good and Evil have lunch every afternoon. Needless to say, Evers eat with Evers and Nevers with Nevers, with a clear dividing line between the schools))

Desdemona - in her cat form - sat in the shade of a tree. She licked her black paw then looked around the clearing, her orange eyes twinkling.

Griff sulked through the clearing. One day, you will end up hurting everyone you love. He thinks

Des looked up in surprise. She momentarily froze before scrambling up the small tree next to her to hide in its branches.
It's not cowardly. She thought. It's observation.
Des watched the boy sulk with her eyes narrowed.

Griff feels his fangs to see if they've shrunken to their normal size yet. Nope. Still abnormally large!

Desdemona shifted into a crouch, trying to see the boy better and cursing her necklace as the gems chimed against the glass vial.

Griffin's ears perk up when he hears a noise. He smells the air and walks to the tree. "Come down from there!" He calls

Des cursed under her breath (in cat?) then jumped down from the tree, using her tail to balance and landing lightly on her feet. She sat down in the grass and narrowed her eyes at Griffin.

"A cat?" He asks

Des glared at him then shifted back into her human form. Her body lengthened and her black fur receded into her skin. A moment later Desdemona stood up and looked Griffin in the eye. "In a way." She smirked. "But no, not a cat."

"How do you do that?" He whispers. "Turning back so easily I mean. And staying in control."

She shrugged. "It was hard at first but I practiced a lot. Sometimes I still lose control when I'm angry or scared but usually I'm okay. I can't hold the cat form for more than an hour though. That gets annoying." Des wrinkled her nose then looked back at Griffin. "Why?"

"Because, I turn sometimes too. Not into a cat, obviously. I turn into a beast. Like my dad." He says quietly.

This surprised her but Des kept a straight face. "Beauty and the Beast?" She guessed.

"Ah so you've heard of them." He says. "But yes those are my parents. I'm only a Never because I can turn into a Beast and I am considered a 'threat'"

"Who hasn't? And being a 'threat' is much more entertaining than being a hero. Well, unless you get locked away in a castle for years and years and have to be rescued by true love." Des grimaced. "Sorry. I'm not great at encouraging talks."

"Totally fine!" He says.

((Should I have something scare him and he turns into the Beast?))

((I would say the arrival of another person but then we'd need another person so maybe an animal or something. Unless you want to get another of your OCs.))

"Anyway, I'm Desdemona Nyx, from Ravenbow. My friends call me Des, or, they would if I had any friends." She shrugged then looked at Griffin. "What's your name?"

"I'm Griffin." He says

Amelia slunk up in front Griffin. She, thanks to a spell, blended in perfectly in the background. The spell was running out though. Amelia had used it so she didn't have to talk to people but unfortuantly, the spell vanished just as she was infront of him

Griffin roared. He backed up just as he was changing and couldn't control himself like he could when he was with Bella. He let out an earth-shattering roar.

Amelia jumped out of her skin- almost. In an instant, she'd opened up a spell book and was frantcially trying to figure out how to stop it

Griffin tried to get out of beast form. He tried everything, breathing, thinking of being human. But nothing worked.

Desdemona's eyes were wide. She stepped in front of Griffin, but kept her distance. "Hey!" She called. "Don't fight it. Let it happen. Get used to being in this beast form. Once you're comfortable with it, it'll be easier to change back." She kept on eye one Griffin and the other on the girl. "Don't fight it," she repeated.

"Found it" Amelia cried. A spell to reverse transfomrtations

"No." Des snapped. "Let him do it himself." She watched Griffin for a moment then added, "Well, at least let him try."

Amelia looked scornfully at the girl. Still, she seemed to have more epxerince at this than her

Griffin's eyes widened. He calmed down and let it happen.

Desdemona nodded. "Good, good."
I sound like an Ever. She thought, mildly annoyed. She shook herself. "Concentrate on your form. What you want it to look like." Des kept her voice calm and steady. This is what she had needed when she had shifted for the first time. "Let your body shift to match the image in your mind."

Amelia looked slightly impateintly. She was seriosuly ready just to force the proccess to go faster

Des sensed the girl's impatience and turned slightly to look at her. "Be patient." She hissed, barely loud enough for Amelia to hear. "He needs to be able to do this by himself. Or the next time he gets mad he could hurt someone. Like you." Des shot a glare in her direction then turned back to Griffin.

Amelia shook her head. "I've got that covered" she said rolling her eyes showing the girl a protection spell she had ready

Des rolled her eyes and focused on Griffin.

Amelia turned away scoffing as she did so at the girl

Sapphire walks here after class. She takes out the Ever lunch and begins to eat.

A bluebird sat on a tree branch nearby, gracefully preening its feathers. The bluebird glanced up and saw Sapphire, then flew onto her shoulder and chirped in her ear

Sapphire smiled. “Hi Abby Grace! (Can I call her Abby?) it’s a pleasure meeting you here.” She laughs, knowing that of course they would see each other here. It was lunch after all

The bluebird chirped again, then flew to the ground. A few moments later a girl wearing the School for Good uniform stood in place of the bluebird. Abby Grace adjusted the daisy flower crown in her hair and smiled at Sapphire. "Hey Sapphire! How are you?" she asked, sitting down in the grass across from her friend.

“I am great.” Sapphire said, smiling. “I just finished this book about monkeys... my dad owns one, and I wanted to learn more about them! You know?”

Griffin focused on his mortal life, his twin Dahlia, his brother Ocean, his parents, and Bella. He smiled and changed into his human form.

"Good job" Amelia applauded

Griffin smiles awkwardly. "Please don't do that again." He whispers to her.

"It's not your fault but I still need to control my powers." He says
