I'm reading :
While the Light LastsFairly interesting collection of short stories, though all of these are not about detective work.
Sparkling Cyanide, a reread as my first reading was so long ago. Feels like I remember the culprit, but not 100% sure. From what I've read so far, the set-up is very interesting and well-written. ABC Murder and Murder at the Links are up next, both also a reread.
I just picked up Curtain, Hercule Poirot #42, at a used book store. It says 'Poirot’s final case, a mystery which brings him and Hastings back to Styles where they first solved a crime together.'Should I hold off on this one until I read the rest of Poirot's books? Does anyone know if it has spoilers for past cases?

However, I would recommend reading it as your last Poirot.

I'm trying to finish and read AG books I have not yet read. Currently reading The Seven Dials MysteryIt's painful. And I don't get the feeling it's going to get any better.

I'd read at least a few other Poirot's first. I don't think Curtain has spoilers for previous books, but it wraps up Poirot in a way that I think would make you wish you had gotten to know him a bit first. Curtain is one of my favorite Poirot's but I'm glad I didn't read it first.

The Big FourCurious to see if it is as bad as all the negative reviews make it sound."
I liked it.
Giuls wrote: "I’m currently reading “The Mystery of the Blue Train”"According to Christie, this was her least favourite among her own books.

Personally I think more to do what was going on in her own life at the time (the break-up of her first marriage) more so than on the merits of the book. I actually really liked it.

From what I remember, she wrote in her autobiography that she was not satisfied with the book.
Kanishka wrote: "I have started reading Poirot Investigates today."Have you read Poirot short stories before? Hope you enjoy this collection!
Currently on my second time through The Murder of Roger Ackroyd, meaning it will be my first read where I know the ending going into it. I'm definitely seeing little hints of the culprit that I missed the first time through. I'm remembering why it's one of my favorites.
Just finished "The Hollow" - there's little touches that are different from the tv version (or vice versa I suppose), so it's enjoyable even if you know that one. Interesting plot element - one character is astonished that "holding a job" is something you have to work at. You can't throw the merchandise at disagreeable customers! At least no one asks "What is a weekEND?"!
