Just finished reading chapter 18. (view spoiler)[ I found the unexpected meet-cute with the guy dressed as Darth Vader at the Halloween party to be nice! I'm glad Mia found someone she had a lot in common with. I remember when she was telling Gavin about the Halloween party, I had a feeling that he dressed up as Darth Vader. I was excited for her to see it's Gavin during their date at the diner, but it's too bad Ben arrived at the diner first. After seeing Gavin's reaction at the diner, I'm now 100% sure that he was the mystery guy. I'm guessing for the rest of the book Mia will figure out Ben isn't the right guy and get together with Gavin.

One thing that bothered me was how Mia skipped her sister's bridal shower for a date. She could've saved herself a lot of trouble if she rescheduled the date.

Also, the scene when Sam was complaining about how her parents treat Mia is kind of relatable in a way. I'm the oldest in my family and it does bother me at times when my parents are softer on my siblings compared to when I was growing up. (hide spoiler)]

Finished chapter 20 (view spoiler)[ I feel bad for Mia about what happened with Ben and that it affected her performance during the swim meet. Then again, I had a feeling something was going to happen with Ben since they never were exclusive. (hide spoiler)]

Im up to chapter 12. I'm enjoying it but struggling to pick it up.

something I noticed and thought was odd was how everytime her friends whisked her away on some random trip, Mia didn't automatically make the connection that she's being set up on another meet Cute. I guess being the reader makes it easier to see but still seemed obvious, especially since they won't tell her where they are going.

I noticed that too! I was surprised she couldn't guess that her friends being vague would have meant they were planning something.
