She knew Clark for 12 year and (as far as I could see) saw no reason to think he was a bag guy. I know Patrick was suspicious of Clark right away. He knew that Clark was lying about something and asking some questions that put Patrick on alert.
I knew it was a mistake when she went with Clark. This was one of those screaming at the book "Nooooo!!!!" moments. I understood that Elle is a loyal friend and that is why she just didn't see the real Clark.
I’m older now and know that 20 year relationships can still surprise me. While I understood her feelings about Clark, I thought she should at least step back and look at her relationship with him to see if there were any troubling consistencies. At a minimum, be careful sharing information. She did neither, wouldn’t even consider the alternative.
Yeah, I was saying, “No, no, no!” when she gave him a ride. And, yes, I think Elle sees people the way she chooses to, not the way they show up. Remember, she couldn’t even see that Kami was lying to her.

I don't blame her for trusting Clark. They had been friends for so long and no one believes that a friend like that would betray them. Her ability to read people is very bad, but I can see her blowing off the signs because of their friendship. I know I have in the past.
I echo the "No, no, no!" shouts we all made. There was just something about him, his places and times with the youth that seemed too good to be true.
I understand why she didn't want to believe Patrick's warnings about Clark. All the same, I was surprised that she didn't accept Patrick's help. She is a lawyer, and knows there was trouble. Even if she trusts Clark, she could put him in danger if he is a good guy. Why do that? There were too many times I had to yell at Elle.

Elle takes off on her own to look for Kami, ending up abducted by Clark. Did you understand why she refused to believe he was involved with Lee? Were there enough signs for her to at least consider the possibility? Or, was her judgment in reading people really that bad?
