I am going back to the beginning. Some time ago i read the third part of his memoirs, The teacher man and i liked it so much. As a former teacher myself, i could recognize so many things in public schools. Yes, sometimes it is only surviving and trying to keep them quite. He told some stories about his childhood as well in the third book and as i happen to have the first memoir in my private library, i started it today.

I loved all of his books. Angela's Ashes was one of the best books I have read and remains one of my top nonfiction reads.
