I haven't read the book yet, but I have watched Nanette and Douglas...both excellent! Any advice on getting through heavy chapters? As a committed non fiction reader I'm quite used to this but I do sometimes meander into other texts...never to return...
When it gets heavier or I'm tired, I use a bookmark to follow line by line and then also highlight words and phrases that seem the most important. Other strategies I've used in the past are to pencil in ! for things that really surprise me and ? for things I want to look up afterwards. This helps me focus as I am a devil for thinking 'Let me look up that word' and then getting distracted.

Temple Grandin's writing is really clear but parts of it can be very terminology-heavy. I reached out to my dad to explain some of it to me!
As a side note: has anyone watched Nanette or Douglas on Netflix? Hannah Gadsby has autism and it was interesting watching these 1-hr specials, having read some of this book.
