Anne C (fizzyannielizzy) | 1 comments We're up to Week 6 of Winter Reading, but don't despair: we still have 6 more weeks of winter reading to go! (Just kidding, spring will be here before we know it! ... right?) And also, I have no idea if the groundhog saw his shadow, so if someone could report back on this in the comments, I'd greatly appreciate it.

That said, here's our list of Red Covers for Week 6:

Eligible: A Modern Retelling of Pride & Prejudice, Curtis Sittenfeld
Dark Matter, Blake Crouch
The Wedding Date, Jasmine Guillory
Everything Here Is Beautiful, Mira T. Lee
A Court of Thorns and Roses, Sarah J. Maas
Beneath a Scarlet Sky, Mark T. Sullivan
The Red Tent, Anita Diamant
Me Before You, Jojo Moyes
How to Walk Away, Katherine Center
Magpie Murders, Anthony Horowitz
House of Earth and Blood, Sarah J. Maas
The Rosie Project, Graeme Simsion
White Teeth, Zadie Smith
The Liars' Club, Mary Karr
The Library Book, Susan Orlean
At Home: A Short History of Private Life, Bill Bryson
The Power, Naomi Alderman
Persepolis: The Story of a Childhood, Marjane Satrapi

Now, I'm not going to lie - not ALL of these titles are going to put you in the mood for Valentine's Day... so if that's the kind of read you're looking for this week, let me suggest you stick with Eligible, The Rosie Project, A Court of Thorns and Roses, The Wedding Date, House of Earth and Blood, and Me Before You. Personally, I would recommend The Rosie Project, if you haven't already read it... the audiobook was especially delightful. I would say I shrieked with laughter at least 15 times (probably more, it's been a while) throughout the course of the book. However, if you're looking for something more fantastical with lots of longing, definitely go with a Sarah J. Maas (there are two of her titles on this list because she's fabulous).

Any other titles you'd recommend for Valentine's Day? And what are you reading (or looking forward to reading) this week?!

Laura | 12 comments He did see his shadow. We would have called him out as a fraud if he hadn’t.

Kathleen | 71 comments If you're looking for a sweet paranormal romance (layered on top of a medical mystery thriller), I recommend "Strange Practice," the first of the Greta Helsing books about a doctor to the undead.

Paige (pabarnum) | 14 comments Not a recommendation for Valentine's Day, but I read Interior Chinatown by Charles Yu for Red Cover.

Inventive form and playful, comedic writing despite its frank social commentary and thoughtful exploration into identity.

Thanks for the recommendations @kathleen and @paige!
