Heather Peters | 18 comments This was hard to process. Such a great book - the gaslighting, the victim-blaming, the idolatry of famous people. It was captivating and I think the tale can reel in a lot of students from a lot of backgrounds. I think the narrative is important and should be something examined more often and Tiffany Jackson does an amazing job of delivering the blows.
5/5

Christy | 8 comments I think the music industry part may not be a realistic path for many people, but whats happening in this book can be applied to so many other life events. Human trafficking is real and this book makes me think along those lines as well. It was hard to read but at the same time you don't want to stop because you want to know what happens. I definitely think students should be made aware that this can be real. 5/5

Brandy Otto | 9 comments This book is definitely one of my top books that I read in 2020. I agree that it was hard to read, but I think that is what made it worthwhile. I have not been disappointed with anything that Tiffany Jackson has written. She just gets it. 5/5

Wow. Such a powerful book I think would benefit any young girl to read, if only to get a sense of some dangers to look out for. My adult self was so saddened to see the unaware innocence of the young ladies being victimized. My teen self would have probably been taken in just like all of the others. I would like to say it wouldn’t have went so far but who knows? Girls are so impressionable and in such need of feeling loved and being paid attention to by someone older would be tempting enough but someone famous? A sad hard truth of young ladies, especially those of minority race, not being taken seriously just makes me so mad.

Cedar | 6 comments I could not put this book down. I wanted to find out what would happen next. I can see this being informative to all young girls, in the hopes they will learn from this story. 5 out of 5.

Lara | 8 comments I could not put this down! This book had me on a roller coaster of emotions. I was yelling for her to run! I was so angry at his treatment of women and how he just got away with it! I was sad that so many young innocent girls went through so much! I know this was a work of fiction, but then again, it isn’t. This is a 5/5 for me.

Anne Liebst | 9 comments Just wow! This book conveys a powerful message. It is an important read for all YAs -- male and female. 5/5

Brenda Love 3. 5 Stars- This book is powerful, heartbreaking, and hard to read at times. I found myself getting angry at the main character Enchanted, thinking "Girl, don't do that!" Korey is a predator that needed to be in jail! It was awful to think that there are people out there in these types of situations. I'm glad I read it, but I wouldn't say I enjoyed reading this book. It definitely caused an emotional reaction. It is a book that stays with you for a while after reading. So many trigger warnings could be put on this book- emotional abuse, rape, stalking, murder, child abuse, just to name a few.

Allison Covington (allisoncovington) | 4 comments 5/5 - such a powerful message and very well written. This book took me through a roller coaster of emotions.

Alysa Fenner | 17 comments I honestly don’t know how Tiffany Jackson does this to me every time, but she always has those twists at the end that I don’t see coming!! This book was so good. Very well written. I can see how the topic could be triggering to some people though, but I also think it might help students realize, hey maybe it’s weird this person a lot older than me wants to date me. Definitely a 5/5 from me!
