I don't mind either. I guess it just depends on the story and the author. Like for fantasy, it's usually easier to do a third person POV because you can explain the whole world and explain different character's thoughts. And first person works with most novels, really. But I would think that it all truly depends on which POV the author prefers to write in.
I think I generally gravitate more towards 1st person. I do enjoy 3rd person if they keep a consistent level of distance. I get annoyed when we mainly only know one character's thoughts, then at random times get insight into others'. I need set rules.
Third feels more professional, but first can provide great insight into the character(s). I always prefer past tense in both POVs, though.
i'm good with both but i tend to lean towards liking 1st person. first person let's you see the world from the characters eyes and i feel that it makes you feel as if you are the character. 1st person told with multiple POVs are the best.personally, i find it a bit difficult to transition between 1st person and 3rd person when i start reading new books.
Both are good but I generally prefer 3rd person. Sometimes when a book has multiple POVs I find it difficult to differentiate between the characters narrating, so having that 3rd person POV can make it easier.
I usually prefer 1st person (I think) but it is easy to get annoyed by the characters tone so 3rd person is the safer POV
I think my preference leans toward 3rd person POV. I like 1st person as well, but experiencing the story through an external view permits more nuance and better foreshadowing. Plus, most of my favorite series are in 3rd person POV. 😄
Either 1st person told from multiple povs or 3rd person omniscient. I get bored of just one person and like to hear multiple people’s thoughts.
In my opinion first person is just easier to read and understand but if third person is done really well then I would probably lean towards that. Overall I feel like they can both be really good it ultimately depends on the author and writing style.
SECOND ITS A COMBINATION FO BOTH HAHA
