Question (not that it's likely to make too much of a difference, because I'm a challenge junkie and can only resist temptation for so long...): How long will there be between the end of this one and the next team challenge (TT, I'm guessing?). The past couple of years have been pretty relentless (because I just can't say no, my own fault, lol) until now, and I'm hoping to avoid burn-out, lol.
Current plan is to hopefully have TT ready for May time, so not a huge gap between the 2. This is meant to be a relaxed one to keep the challenge
junkies among us (you know who you are...) going through spring until the team challenges come along.

You certainly aren't the only one! I'm expecting some of the other usual suspects to poke their heads in soon.

I'm not about to start naming names given I'd probably find myself high on the list

Ah that explains it, you are all lurking in the shadows biding your time to come and play.
No judgment here when willpower stops and you sign up to join the fun.

Dang it... did you heard me talking to Steven or what?I was concluding that my reading was nose diving and that I needed a new wheels.... of course this is not wheels,... BUT it's a challenge, soooooo.
Lisa - (Aussie Girl) wrote: "It's taking a lot of willpower not to sign up..."Resistance is futile... you should know that by now.
We are working on our mind reading abilities to keep everyone reading. Karen, Cat and E thought you were an appropriate target as they had some slight insight from your modsquad time.

My jump first ask questions later?
LOL
Hi, I'm new here and trying to get a hang-on on these challenges. Are there any challanges you would recommend for beginners?
Hi Sophia!
This page is a good place to find out more about the various challenges and see what catches your eye. This one gives you a choice of 150 tasks a month for 2 months (we don't expect anyone to finish them all!) and tends to have a bit more chatting if that's what you want.

Ahahahhhahhahah
I've started a spreadsheet listing all the books I already have that work for each task. I'm insane.
Sammy wrote: "I think I actually enjoy the planning part more than I do the actual reading, lmao!"Guilty as charged!

You are not insane, I myself just spent the whole day yesterday planning my reads on my spreadsheet :D
Oh you organised girls! I've gone as far as looking at the tasks, those 100 pointers are quite tricky.
Welp I signed up lol. Didn't even consider that I'm reading less as I've become more busy. I'm an easy person, I see a new challenge... I am in the new challenge whether I like it or not heh heh
I'm with Sonia, I make a plan for reading occasionally but have never managed to stick to it! Despite having selected the tasks, I haven't looked at them or started planning yet.

If you need to change group, just send a DM and I'll get it sorted for you.

Who shall conquer the world, the planners or the mood readers?
I vote the second one.... but I might be slightly biased.

Me: I'm going to resist this challenge. Also me: *joins challenge*
Still me: But I will just play casually without worrying about score.

I swear, I didn't have a competitive bone in my body before I joined this group, lol!
I've just spend half an hour trying to follow the example of some of you fellow players and plan my books for the tasks... All I ended op doing is making a list of books I'm in the mood to read for that month and I will probably desperately try to fit the books to tasks with max points haha
Frankly I don't know which is more time consuming. May the best planner/mood reader win !

I always try to plan my reads, but that doesn't work. I plan and want to start reading, but an 'unplanned' book comes my way and bye, plan! I'm more a mood reader.

Who knew reading could be competitive!?

BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I have links and pages of all the stinking challenges that I want to eventually participate in!
Sophie wrote: "Have fun everyone! Good luck sticking to the plan those of you who have made one..."Thank you! The start of the plan will be easy. Hogfather FTW! :)
Solid place to start!
Reminder to self to continue the PTerry reread I've got going. Haven't yet made it to Hogfather.
