*me having never hear of punjabi but still being curious*
Alice wrote: "*me having never hear of punjabi but still being curious*"It's an Indian languages spoken in the state of Punjab. And btw this isn't the script it's written in. But typing in the gurmukhi script would be a disaster. I'd honestly take an hour to type one single sentence.
i haven't studied a lot about india yet, but i've been wanting to so i'm not very knowledgeable on these topics haha

the only thing i know from that sentence above is tongue and ofc punjabi
mira⁷ wrote: "i can't read any desi script :D because i am ✨dumb✨"No that's not. It's because you didn't have to go through 10 years of learning that script at school.
I swear if I had to read a novel in Hindi or Punjabi it would take me months and I'd literally be bothering google to ask the meaning of a word on every single page.
Believe me I tried. It didn't end well.
Alice wrote: "the only thing i know from that sentence above is tongue and ofc punjabi"Oops. I forgot to put the word mother tongue and I just put tongue.LMAO.
Now that sentence means that Punjabi is my tongue.😂
Main friends naal vi mostly hindi ch hi gl krdi haan. Punjabi sirf ghare bolde hain kde-kde. Mainu Nimrat de ilava koi vi nhi pta Goodreads te jo Punjabi bolda hove...

Mere naal depends karda hai. Jehdi language vich jo gall kar le main taan oh hi bol lendi hain.
What about Ari?
Idk why but texting like this in Punjabi is weird for me at least.
I don't know how to speak punjabi, but having one side of my family as punjabi affords me the basic understanding of what you all said

Mere naal d..."
Honestly, I tried my best to make my previous sentence sound as Punjabi as possible. I never speak proper, like orthodox Punjabi.
Hmm. Ari does speak Punjabi as far as I know, but he is no longer active on gr.
Trisha wrote: "I don't know how to speak punjabi, but having one side of my family as punjabi affords me the basic understanding of what you all said"Oh wow. You know Punjabi too!
The way I speak, it's usually a mix between Hindi and Punjabi.
My mother tongue is Hindi, but I lived in Punjab for 13 years of my life, so naturally I can speak and understand Punjabi. I learnt to read and write it in school too, but that was only basic, and now I've lost touch, so it's difficult for me to read or write now, but I can speak and understand quite well.
