It's a regional Indian language.

It's an Indian languages spoken in the state of Punjab. And btw this isn't the script it's written in. But typing in the gurmukhi script would be a disaster. I'd honestly take an hour to type one single sentence.

No that's not. It's because you didn't have to go through 10 years of learning that script at school.
I swear if I had to read a novel in Hindi or Punjabi it would take me months and I'd literally be bothering google to ask the meaning of a word on every single page.
Believe me I tried. It didn't end well.

What about Ari?
Idk why but texting like this in Punjabi is weird for me at least.

Trisha (semi-hiatus) (booksreviewsandprocrastination) | 5341 comments I don't know how to speak punjabi, but having one side of my family as punjabi affords me the basic understanding of what you all said

Honestly, I tried my best to make my previous sentence sound as Punjabi as possible. I never speak proper, like orthodox Punjabi.
Hmm. Ari does speak Punjabi as far as I know, but he is no longer active on gr.

Oh wow. You know Punjabi too!
The way I speak, it's usually a mix between Hindi and Punjabi.

Anushka (bookish_swiftie) | 1234 comments My mother tongue is Hindi, but I lived in Punjab for 13 years of my life, so naturally I can speak and understand Punjabi. I learnt to read and write it in school too, but that was only basic, and now I've lost touch, so it's difficult for me to read or write now, but I can speak and understand quite well.
