Two themes for the month are
1990s and Fantasy

Top two nominations per member, one per category. Will put up the polls with all the nominees within a week, pick wisely!

Since I chose the 1990's category, I might as well nominate something for it: The Boat of a Million Years by Poul Anderson has been on my TBR pile for some time now.

For 1990's: Holy Fire

For Fantasy: The Moon and the Sun

Some overlap between the categories, the latter could be either.

I'm happy to see Anderson on the list, I'm looking forward to going through those novels as fast as possible.

Caitlin O'Neill (ktdid42) | 102 comments I'd also like to nominate boat of a million years for 1990s and for fantasy glory road by heinlein.

We're a bit light on nominations, anyone want to chip in? Here's what we have so far:

For the 1990's:
The Boat of a Million Years
Holy Fire
Factoring Humanity

Fantasy:
The Moon and the Sun
Glory Road

I looked through the lists and there's nothing I want to nominate from them, at least right now.

message 9: by Harmony (new)

Harmony Rose | 87 comments I'd like to nominate (may I?)

King's Dragon, by Kate Eliott, simply because, as a teenager, I adored her Highroad Trilogy (and still enjoy the occasional re-read)

The Terminal Experiment by Robert Sawyer, because it would be nice to have some ethical conundrums to talk about.

message 10: by Rebecca (new)

Rebecca | 464 comments For fantasy, I'd recommend Jade City, I don't know any of the books left in the 1990s shelf :)

message 11: by Kristīne (new)

Kristīne Vītola | 2 comments For 1990's: Remnant Population by Elizabeth Moon
For fantasy: The Falling Woman by Pat Murphy

I'm sure you are right Allan, I have been very absent lately

We got a little off on our cadence and wound up a bit short on nominees and on votes. We had a few late nominees, but the poll was already up and it closed on March 3rd. The top two are both 1990's, so we're going to read the highest 1990's book The Boat of a Million Years and the highest fantasy book Glory Road. Sorry about the limits, and we'll get our timing back this month.
