Yadriel was absolutely adorable. The plot was fun and full of Latinx mythos that was interesting to learn about. I know this has been a super popular read with some teens. 5/5

I loved the characters and the character development. I loved the presentation of these deeply Latinx myths/legends and their incorporation into modern day. I did not like how transparent the "mystery" was. It was obvious from early on and I kept hoping the story would take an unexpected nose dive. So,
5/5 for character/content
2/5 for being a good mystery.

This was a slow start for me. When it started getting good, it got really good! I really liked learning about the Latinx traditions. I'm not sure if it will have wide appeal for YAs. I would certainly recommend it. 4/5
