It depends actually, since sometimes one of those authors is an amazing writer and the other not so nice, and you end up being able to see very clearly who wrote what. It sometimes becomes so pervasive that I skip entire chapters and then end up wallowing in my own puddle of cluelessness.

I actually think having multiple authors work on something is a good idea, if they're similar enough in skill level and style to be able to work together. They can bounce ideas off of each other whenever one person gets stuck, and talk out any issues with the book, so that helps avoid writer's block. Having two different perspectives can also make themes and characterization more powerful, in my opinion, because it's the combined thoughts of two people instead of just one.
