I don't think that you can reply to people on the app...you can reply to people on the desktop site, though! Hope that helps:))

Hi! Are we still doing the March Madness Readathon?

Hey Nora! Thanks for asking- I'm really happy that you asked! I wrote in the poll comments that since we were already mostly through March Madness, I decided to save the March Madness Readathon for next year! I'm hoping to have a challenge/readathon in April, but I'm not sure what the theme's going to be yet. If you have any suggestions, please let me know! Thanks again:))

You are welcome, Catherine! Thanks for letting me know that it’s going to be next year. You could still do the two teams readathon with Showers vs. Flowers because there’s a common quote that goes “April Showers bring May Flowers “.

Some Prompts to include could be:

Read a book that makes you happy.
Read a book that makes you sad.
Read a book where a character starts something new.
Activity: Read a book indoors when it is raining outside.
Read a book outside on a sunny day.

Oh, that's weird...what kind of photos would you want to add?

Please let us know what image you want to upload to the group before you do so!

And I think that if you want to take a picture with your camera, you have to take the picture before you can upload it, like in messages. Once you take the photo, then I expect that there'll be an arrow to upload it. That should work! But again, please let us know about what photo you want to upload before you upload it. Thanks for your understanding! :))

Has our group been hacked again? My team captain has not posted the Gingerbread Cookie Bar group thread and Angieleigh's comment appears to be missing also no one has responded to any of my comments in the Dial A For Aunties thread?

I don't believe so- I think people are just busy. I'll ask the captain of Gingerbread Cookie Bar to post the thread!

Do we have a set date for when the next challenge is going to begin? (No worries if not as I understand they consume time and effort but I have really been enjoying them!)

Just curious, who was the creator of this group? I see some topics were started by deleted user and i was just curious who actually founded the group. And how long ago?

I'm guessing this group was started on February 23rd, 2021, because that's when the profile photo was uploaded and the introduction thread was made. I was invited to the group and joined in April of 2021 (wow, basically 2 years ago!), so some members have actually been here longer than I have. I wasn't very active then. I think someone named Natalie created the group, and at one point I think there was another mod, Charlotte.

For whatever reason, Natalie deleted her account and Charlotte stepped down from being a mod. The group was inactive for a few months, until somebody commented in the chat box, saying that there was no mod. I was like, "Huh, that seems kind of sad..."

I thought about it for a couple of months, and then since there was no mod I made myself mod and started up the group again. It was pretty cool, watching the group grow from 250 ish inactive members to the group it is today:)

So if a group doesn't have any mods you can make yourself mod? That's interesting.

Yeah, you can! There are a couple of groups that I'm in that are "modless" :(

That’s sad. There’s on group I’m in that I wish was modless. There’s one mod who hasn’t been on in 10 years and the group needs some organization and cleanup bad.

Ok to be fair that group that I was talking about is not a social group. It’s called Clean Reads. There’s just a lot of old threads that could be archived if someone was mod on there. I’m not upset at the owner, I’m just wishing there was some way to make myself mod on there.

She hasn’t been on GR for years so it’s not like she’s just avoiding that group. And there are over 1,000 members so it’s a very helpful group. I’m glad she started it.
