Huge thank you to everyone who has joined this group, and to everyone who has invited your friends! Here are a few updates:
1. Our March BOTM suggestions will be opening very soon. This process will go very fast because of the short time frame until March begins. In future months, it will be more spread out.
For our BOTM, we will start out with a simple version and see how that goes. We will be having one themed BOTM each month, with the group choosing the theme and book. The book will either be a standalone or first in the series. Later on, we may start doing an optional full series read of something similar.
Stay tuned for the suggestion thread to open!!!
2. Our first challenge will begin on March 1st. I will be putting out the signups this afternoon. It will be a team readathon challenge. Any genre of book can be read, but there will be a theme with prompts for earning extra points! The theme will be revealed along with the sign ups later today. I hope to see lots of people sign up!

Please let me know, either on the thread on in a reply to this message, whether you would prefer to do a more structured BOTM (with assigned page numbers throughout the month and days to chat) or a more free/loose reading.
2. Our first new idea from the poll has also been posted! We now have a bookish trivia section! Everyone can suggest books/series/movies/tvshows to have a trivia section created about. All the information and a few starter trivia sections are in this folder.
3. When you finish a book for the readathon, post it in the Completed Books Thread. That way, I can record the book and give your team the points! If you have any questions, please post them on the readathon questions thread.
4. Finally, if anyone has any suggestions for the group, I would love to hear them! You can put them in our Suggestion Box or PM me. :)

Hi everyone! To make sure that we don't have 9+ books to choose from in the poll (it's a little tiring to go through all of the choices and then choose one), the process in which we're going to choose our BOTM is going to be a little different.
We're going to keep all of the suggestions we have as of now, but in the future, people will only be able to suggest one book and second (meaning decide that they want that book to be BOTM as well) another. The suggestions we have right now are listed below:

Hey all! Do you want to participate in a buddy read, but don’t care what the book is? Are you in a reading slump and looking for a way out of it? Or are you just looking for your next good read? Readalongs are for you!
We’re going to be hosting our first readalong (Maddy’s idea- many thanks to her!). This is essentially a large buddy read- participants decide how many chapters a day they want to read, and can discuss as they go.
Readalongs are a little more flexible than BOTM (they can happen whenever), and larger than buddy reads (and a little slower, too).
The group’s first readalong book is Twilight by Stephenie Meyer (95% of Google users liked this book)- we’d love to have you join us! If you're interested or if you have any questions, please post here! Thank you so much! :P

I will be inactive for a day or two due to a pet related emergency while I'm watching my niece and her wife's house, cat, and dogs. (Their cat had seizures due to toxicity to flea and tick medication and could possibly, Lord willing, come home later on and will need constant supervision)
I am back! She is doing so much better and hasn't had a seizure in a few days and is pretty much back to her normal self. I just got back to my house earlier this afternoon and have a lot of catching up to do! This is the first time in a long time where I haven't read very much because I was busy taking care of three dogs and my niece and her wife.
