On my shelf, i organize it by height. Sometimes small goes first, sometimes tall. Then not often, but sometimes when i have more books from both the public and school library i'll organize it by like one side is school and the other is public. (edit: and i have a basket by my bookshelf in which i put all my finished books that are borrowed from the library so when its my next trip ill either grab the box or a bag to put the books in and we'll head to the library)
First, by separating what you have read and what is still tbr, second by genre, and finally alphabetized by the authors last name. I'm currently in the process of moving so all my books are in boxes but, this is how I plan to organize them.
Mood Dependent.1. By Genre
2. By Book Height.
3. By Series.
4. Alphabetical Order

Usually I do it alphabetically but last time I was sorting my bookshelf I got a call saying I had to self isolate and I was so upset and angry so I just put them anywhere 😂😭 I really have to sort out my bookshelf
