It's hard to keep a group dedicated to one subject active.

However, I recently picked up the three issues of Dinosaur Rex published in the 1980s. It's been described as PG Wodehouse with dinosaurs. I haven't read them yet.

I look forward to hearing your assessment of that! :)

Andrew Klynsmith | 1 comments I'm here too. I've read all the Jeeves books, and hope to read the Blandings series this year. I don't know a writer who quite matches Wodehouse's capacity for laugh out loud writing, except perhaps James Thurber.

I don't know James Thurber - any recommendations on where to start with him, Andrew? :) Thanks for the tip!

So I finished rereading the Jeeves novels in 2023 so I guess that means I'm starting the Blandings reread soon.

I've done about half. I'm probably never going to do the early school stories and some of the standalones.

Does that include the Golf Omnibus?! :) That'd be my stumbling block, if I was ever trying for completionism!

I'm not, either! :D Oh, that IS good to know - it comes up at the local thrift stores fairly regularly. I won't pass it by next time! :) Thanks, Dan!

It's hard to keep a single subject group going. I finished my Jeeves reread last year but haven't started my Blandings reread yet.

Also, if anyone wants to be a moderator, I'll bestow the power upon you. I only became one because the founder of the group hasn't been on since 2009.

Algernon | 22 comments I'm still reading Wodehouse with great pleasure, but I forgot to check out the group activity. I hope Dan will find the help he needs to move things along.

Hope you are enjoying your rereads! I'm a first timer for all Plum books. So no rereads started yet. I am on the last book (that is available on Kindle) of the Jeeves series and I am feeling sad that the series is over :D

You'll have to do the Blandings books next. It's more of an ensemble cast rather than focusing on Bertie and Jeeves. Hilarious stuff.

message 30: by Vinaya (new)

Vinaya Wagh (vinayawagh) | 5 comments Yes, they are hilarious, aren't they?! I did start on the Blandings series. It's silly but when I started enjoying Jeeves I didn't want it to end. So I didn't read the last book and started Blandings instead. Now I didn't want the Blandings to end either 😆 So I went on to read the other standalone ones. Lately I found some courage to finish the Jeeves series at last.

Do you all think I'm crazy? 🤣

Thanks Capn :D That's quite reassuring ;)

Finally finished my last in the Jeeves' series - Aunt's aren't gentlemen. Now I have one last left in the Blandings' series - A Pelican at Blandings.

Annag wrote: "I love just about all of the Canon, but my favorite is Quick Service."
Great! I'll try to get that one in a hardcopy.. it isn't available on Kindle yet.

Any other suggestions anyone? :)
