I want to know what do the colours represent?

The colors represent cover colors for books- so like the red square means you need to read a book whose cover is primarily red colored. Is that what you mean?

would the book scythe count for red? There's a lot of red on on it, but I'm not sure if it would count

Yes! I'd say that counts! If the book appears to be over 50% the color, it counts !

Hi, if a book has a lot of different cover editions do we just go with the one we have? Or like the newest one?

I have a copy of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland whose cover is light green, and there are more than SEVEN HUNDRED editions of this very books published over the decades, yet I can't find the one I read on Goodreads. So the question is - does it count for the reading challenge if Goodreads doesn't have that cover?

Yes! Basically just honor system type thing, since you asked, I will trust that you have a light green edition so it counts :)

It was a copy that my aunt gifted my mom around 1990 and I have no clue where she managed to find it since it's nowhere on the internet.

Technically if you look closely is has some

Hmmm I'll count it! The peacock feathers are in a stripe-like pattern and the lines of the feathers create stripes, so I think it would be good!

Hmmm no I don't think I could count it for that. Contrasting colors are like black+white, orange+blue, green+red, and purple+yellow.
