She's one of my favorite characters in literature. I enjoyed her growth as a character in this story and that despite all the societal forces pushing against her, she finds a meaningful relationship with another person in defiance of these constraints.

And in honor of the approach of Halloween, I must say I enjoyed Bram Stoker's Dracula. The writing style is unique and the settings, from London to Budapest to the Carpathian mountains of Transylvania and on board a ship, add intrigue.
