Jaye Card (jayecard) Oh boy. So I'm a weeb, so of course all my favourites are anime, and there are dozens. I'll spare you those for now since it's a little pointless to list series that presumably no one has seen, and skip to the other series I've enjoyed.

I do like western animation too, so a bunch of cartoons make the list. Gravity Falls is the absolute top of the cream, but Star vs. the Forces of Evil is a personal favourite. Of course I also love Avatar: The Last Airbender, though I figure that's a given by now, haha.

As for live action...it's a bit of a weird place for me, because most live action series I just somehow don't get into. However, two that I love are Derry Girls and Good Omens. Both are just...excellent. I've also been enjoying Brooklyn 99 and Umbrella Academy, but I'm caught up on neither. I have a really good feeling about Umbrella Academy though. And finally, How To Sell Drugs Online (Fast) is an absolute gem. It's amazing, and I need to get everyone in my vicinity to watch it.

Jaye Card (jayecard) Anime has a huge variety, but I think at the start you usually get recommended the same dozen shows plus like a hundred that are blatantly the same thing as those twelve shows...once you get into the medium, you keep slipping from show to show that's either interesting and new or totally down your alley, but finding that alley, that's the thing.

My profile picture is from Revolutionary Girl Utena, which is definitely in the more niche and unusual category of anime. It probably reminds you of Sailor Moon since it's also from the 90s and has some similarity in art style for it. Funny coincidence actually, the creator of Revolutionary Girl Utena did a fair bit of work on Sailor Moon before creating his own show.

Jaye Card (jayecard) Hmm, maybe you're looking for anime that are a bit more mature, but not too edgy? If you'd like something that's on Netflix, you could try BNA. It's very colourful and it's fairly anime, but it's a lot of fun and pretty agreeable I think. Otherwise, if you tell me a little more about what genre you like, I can always try to give you a more specific recommendation if you're interested :)

Death Note was my first manga series back in the day. Hope you enjoy it. If you do, make sure to read the Another Note LN, it has a pretty good twist in my opinion.

Jaye Card (jayecard) Sounds like Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood would be right down your alley! I suspect it has been recommended to you before, but if it hasn't, it might be worth a look. It's a huge classic. Other than that, let me skim my MAL a little bit...you might enjoy Princess Principal. It's about steampunk/Victorian-ish girl spies. Little Witch Academia has a reputation for being "anime Hogwarts" and should be on Netflix, which is probably a bonus point. And finally, if you're curious to watch an old but gold-ie, Cowboy Bebop is a lot of fun and targeted at more adult audiences (as in, the tone and humour is, it isn't like...sexual or anything).

Also, if you end up liking Death Note a lot, consider Code Geass as a follow up. But now I'll stop myself before I absolutely overload you with recommendations ;)

Jaye Card (jayecard) I'd be very curious to know! Always happy when I can give some recommendations ;)
