They arrived at the prey center and stopped in their tracks. They reached their front talons out and stretched, tail swaying behind them. They seemed to be rather indifferent to their surroundings. They began looking around, trying to find some smaller prey.
They stalked around until they found a rabbit. After a few moments, they pounced on it mid-jump and quickly snapped it's neck before it could squirm around too much. They went toward one of the walls and sat a bit away from Nighthawk, nibbling at their food. It didn't take long considering how small the rabbit was. The bones were too small, so instead of chewing on them, they just moved them around with their talons. "You going to catch anything?" They asked them as they played with their bones.
"Maybe..." he stood and looked around. A rather large boar walked in front of him. He growled and flew over to it, he silently dropped down on the boar breaking it's back and snapping it's neck. He tore a chunk of the boar's stomach and ate it in quick gulps.
((I'm gonna get off for tonight))
They watched the male quietly, not really making much noise. "Can I have one of the bones?" they asked, clearly having gotten bored with the small ones they had. They ended up crushing one with ease underneath their talon.
They nodded in thanks and continued to crush the tiny bones with their talons, simply by pushing their talons against them. They seemed pretty bored as they waited for their bone. They kept crushing it until a piece got stuck in their talon, blood leaking a bit. They shook it a bit, but the bone shard was pretty deep. So, they brought their talon up to their face and pulled it out with their fang. They spit it out and licked the blood off their talon.
Nighthawk tossed a large bone to Deepsea, he continued gulping down the prey till it was just bones. "You can have the rest if you want."
They took the bone and started chewing on it. "I'll clean them and bring them back to the winglet," they said as they stopped chewing for a moment before chewing on the bone some more, much like those wild wolves would do.
Nighthawk rolled his eyes at the weird dragonet, he continued to look around at the prey center.
The dragonet just watched them quietly as they chewed on their bone, their fangs making marks in them. They had always enjoyed chewing on things, so they usually chewed on the bones from their food. They watched quietly, their tail swaying behind them. They hadn't really felt as if they needed to say anything, especially since the other was probably looking for more prey.
It's so... beautiful he admitted in his mind, Nighthawk rarely got to see anything such as this.
They let out a small yawn as she stopped chewing on their bone. They went to wash the bones he gave them so they could bring them back to their winglet and not attract bugs. Once they were done washing the bones, they looked around for something to carry it in. They grabbed some long strands of grass and braided them together until it looked a lot like a cloth. They put the bones in there and folded them so they wouldn't fall out. They looked at her creation triumphantly. They had seen a scavenger do this before while hunting. They enjoyed watching scavengers from afar, as they tend to learn things. Plus, it was interesting. Kind of like watching ants crawl around. Though, they had to admit they wondered what the scavengers tasted like. Though, their curiosity often overwhelmed the greed of wanting to eat the scavengers.
Nighthawk began walking back to the Copper Winglet, he had been satisfied by the boar and was growing tired from the day of flying there.
They noticed Nighthawk leaving and quickly picked up their makeshift cloth that held their bones with their fangs and followed after, the green cloth hanging from their snout. it was easy to assume that it tasted like grass, but the other didn't seem to mind much or show the distaste on their face. Instead, they strode after Nighthawk, carrying it almost as if they had just discovered treasure. If they were that happy about bones, imagine how they would react to having an actual treasure. After all, the treasure is what determines the importance of a dragon and it's in a dragon's nature to admire such things. Though, they seemed quite satisfied with the bones. While it didn't seem like they cared all that much if you look at their face, it was actually quite clear that they were happy surprisingly. It was strange because it's not like they were smiling or anything. It's just, they showed their happiness in a different way it seemed. The way they walked, the way their tail moved, it didn't seem as stiff as it normally was.
Nighthawk looked back at Deepsea, amused. He picked up the pace a bit till he was at a light trot, Nighthawk had never been in a place where he'd been able to interact with other dragons.
They noticed the other picked up their pace, but they did not seem to mind. They figured they were just eager to get back to the winglet. They also picked up their pace as to not fall behind, remaining quiet. They didn't really know what to talk about anyways, nor did they have anything to talk about. So, there was no need for them to speak unless addressed. Though most dragons might have gotten agitated in the slight change in pace, which was clearly intentional, they didn't seem to mind all that much. It helped that they totally misunderstood the reason.
