Stephen King Fans discussion

Wow, I just stumbled upon this IMDB page: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt11525188...

It's easily one of my Top 5 Stephen King's short-stories. It's actually the story that motivated me to write my first short-story ever when I was a teenager. Adrien Brody is a great choice for the main character. They're currently filming it so I suppose it will be released next fall.

I would say fall would seem most likely but there doesn't seem to be much updated information about it.

Even though it says summer for the premiere, other sites say it could be sometime in August.

ohh! I liked the short story a lot more than I did Salem's Lot. I'll watch this if I am able to.

I watched the first episode last night. I feel badly saying this, but I think Emily Hampshire, who plays Rebecca, is going to ruin this for me. I loved her in Schitt's Creek, but she seems almost cartoonish in this serious role. As if she is playing a parody of drama.

Brody was amazing, though.

I thought the first episode was okay, Brody is the shining point to the show. The other characters don't seem to live up, in my opinion.

That's disappointing. This is a huge opportunity for her to show her diversity (if she has it).

Right not I have a free three month trail of MGM+ through Tmoble Tuesdays so I gave this show a go. I'm like 5 episodes in and don't even know if I will finish the series. It's just drawn out and a little boring. Disappointed.

Still haven't gotten around to this, but I did recently see it's available on maybe Prime (or somewhere?) so it's still on my list! Especially since I'm currently rereading Salem's Lot!

Looks like you can get it through Prime.
