The quirk I had in mind is absorption, so it's basically like, you can't use a quirk directly on them as they'd just absorb it and convert it to energy (a lot of my characters be converting energy geez), but you could use it indirectly on them such as using the terrain to your advantage or just not using your quirk. they can semi-absorb the impact of things not involving a quirk (like, if a building would fall in on them, they are most likely the most likely to survive from direct impact, as they can semi-absorb the impact, though not too well. Would likely end up with broken bones and hospitalized unable to move, but yknow, better than being dead-).

It was a quirk that I thought of about a year back watching Sircutieyuki's pov of fairytail origins ( i need to watch yami's pov as the idea of the quirk came from his character and everything), but I never actually put it into use. I thought it'd be a good quirk for your character, hence why I replied to the collab, as his quirk wouldn't work on them because of absorption.

It's kind of like
super powerful and useful like Overhaul's if used right, but also has some pretty obvious openings as long as you get to know what their quirk is.

You'd also be able to overpower them. They can only absorb so much before reaching the limit, as everything they absorb is turned into energy, like how Amber absorbs negative emotions/chemicals and turn it into energy. (the body released chemicals depending on the mood, by absorbing those chemicals by touching the source, that's how she basically absorbs 'negative emotions'. it's also why she releases 'positive chemicals). their bodies can only contain so much energy before basically 'exploding' or, well, allowing that energy to expand and release. (Like with the theory with the big bang. They contain the energy in a single point, that single point being their body. But as they compact it and keep adding more and more energy, they can no longer compact it to that single point and it becomes a bit much. So, all of that matter {in this case, energy}, expands. The potential energy becomes too much for the object (body).) Their bodies are the 'singularity', so all that potential energy compacted in that single point would also likely transmit a lot of heat. However, at some point, heat becomes too much and basically k a b o o m. They'd release all if not most the energy at once.

I did a science project in third grade on rapid expansion for the science fair. I didn't win, but I spent hours on it and even used a lot of paper to represent it. If I did it again, I'd probably make a proper presentation on the computer. some paper models and a board with everything on it seems a bit childish now with all the tech.

But i just remember all of that. The big bang was one of the things I liked to learn a lot about and read a lot about because I don't particularly believe in a god or anything. the whole singularity and rapid expansion just seemed to make much more sense to me as a child, as that can be explained even as a child. I could never wrap my head around the whole god thing, though, I'm sure it's probably easier for most people to figure out that. I'd just end up asking way too many questions that most people couldn't answer

it's also why I believe in evolution. I try to find the science and everything behind my character's quirks to make it make more sense.

I've actually been waiting a long time for them to teach evolution and rapid expansion in my schools, but they haven't, probably because all of the teachers are religious and can't agree with any of it. I was told in third grade that by the time I reached highschool though, they'd teach me it. Still hasn't happened smh

Hmm Haru’s quirk seems a bit problematic to me, so I might change it to where when he touches someone with his hands, they temporarily lose all memory and therefore lose themselves, which is why it’s been increasingly hard to stop him.

It always comes back though

The drawbacks to his quirk are that

1, it requires touching his opponent (but since he’s quite good at up close and center, he doesn’t really mind)

2, the opponent now has a random secret memory of Haru’s, and he absolutely hates it, but as his life story is now a warning for little kids to never let what happened to him happened to them, most of them don’t really matter too much

3, His fighting style is usually centered around trying to touch the other person so it leaves some holes for his opponent to hit him when he’s vulnerable

my mom was standing next to me, so I guess they thought i was cheating, even though she didn't know shit about any of it. I was pretty anxious during it, but even I thought I did pretty well. But apparently because she was standing and watching next to the judge
