I didn't read the prequel. I only read ToG and CoM. (Do NOT spoil any books unless you add a spoiler tag)

Anyways, Throne of Glass is the best book of the whole series. I was so excited to read Crown of Midnight. And I did. I enjoyed that one a lot too and I would have said it was one of the two best books in the series had the ending not made me cry (in a bad way). (view spoiler)[Chaol breaking up with Celaena, seriously? How many guys does she hook up with? I like Chaol the most. I heard rumours about Rowan, that he's abusive. And in the next books, I read online excerpts of Chaol whining about his princeling and being terrified of Celaena which infuriates me because that was SO out of character! She was literally going to KILL him and he's been taught to be afraid of magic, so of course he'll be SCARED, but he's not the whiny baby like people are trying to act he is. Him being afraid and SJM ruining his character made people bash someone who isn't even him. Only to go to someone who's "more muscular", a selfish abuser. I like the enemies to lovers trope, but Rowan and Aelin is not that AT ALL.

Anyways, HoF's beginning is SO boring and I stopped there. (hide spoiler)]

I am reading ToG, but I'm finding it hard to get through it. It's a little boring for me, atleast in the beginning. Maybe it gets better later. I don't really love Celeana nor do I hate her completely, she's just an average protagonist in my opinion.

The first book was boring for me too. But the following books are much better. I should say that character development also gets better in the following books.

Is HoF boring? The beginning is VERY boring. Is the rest of it like that?

It really is better. Actually I liked HoF more than the previous two. But there are a few parts (view spoiler)[Manon parts (hide spoiler)] I skipped, which were like... interrupting?
