I just finished this book. I enjoyed it on the whole and recommend it for any level of reader. Here is my review.

Dr. Been (been11) | 26 comments Thank you, Betsy. This book has been on my list for a long time, but this group has urged me to pick it up and not delay anymore.

I am a firm believer of creation and periodic evolution. I do not believe in monkey-to-man evolution, but yes, previous man-like species have been a part of this amazing design. I leant a lot about this by visiting the Smithsonian Museum in DC. I feel this book is going to give me some interesting and exciting reading.
In my opinion, eyes and brain are the two masterpieces that have been created precisely and exclusively for mankind (human eyes are special in many ways).

Thank u very much, once again.

Herman Diaz | 121 comments Sorry for the late post, but I did read this book earlier this year. Overall, I have mixed feelings about it:
-On the 1 hand, the subject matter is very interesting & the writing is very accessible.
-On the other hand, there aren't nearly enough visual aids for my liking, especially since I'm not as familiar w/genetics & non-dinos. Also, while I can't comment on this book's overall accuracy, I know that the non-mammal synapsids are incorrectly referred to as "mammal-like reptiles".

In short, I like the documentary series based on this book better:

-Ep2: https://video.whyy.org/video/your-inn...
-Ep3: https://video.whyy.org/video/your-inn...

Nancy Mills (nancyfaym) | 489 comments 1. I very much agree with you, this book needs better illustrations
2. I didn't know there was a documentary series, so thanks for sharing!
