Thank you for letting us know, Barb.
Margaret Maron was a favorite author. Her Deborah Knott series was a featured read for our group several years ago and she graciously joined in the discussion.
I enjoyed both series though prefer the Deborah Knott books. Love the irony of a bootlegger's daughter being a judge and the mysteries are top notch. I have quite a few books let to read too. Now is a good time to catch up.

I loved the Sigrid Harald series. She was such a complex character and the series was so gritty.
I haven't read as many of the Deborah Knott series, don't know why. I enjoyed them very much. The connections to family and the descriptions of the region are so comfortable.
With both series the mysteries are believable and the writing is exceptional. Ms. Maron will be missed and always remembered through her books.
