After reading lots of reviews on this book, there were two sides of the spectrum. You either hated the ending or found that it made sense and let it be. And I'm just curious to hear your true thoughts.
I thought it made the series complete, even though it is very hard to. I'm iffy about the whole going back and changing the fate, his Destiny, but it all makes sense to me. Maybe going back and changing his future was part of his destiny.

The ending, I think, did feel extremely sweet, honestly speaking. The whole imagery of this young boy finding peace in paradise after 12 damn books of suffering, it's the best type of ending you can give. It's almost like a reward for denying his own destiny in the end of the fight with Steve. Like, yeah, in the FINAL book, it was odd to see no full Vampires outside of Darren and Vancha, but it serves the plot and doesn't trade it for fan service.
