Gia This is great! The first three books I already have on my shelf waiting to be read, looking forward!

Ashley Jacobson | 181 comments Fun plan! I may or may not join you for Strawberry Girl. I just read it recently, but I did love it, so I may be ready for a re-read by then. I didn’t love Five Children and It, so I probably won’t read that again. But I’m excited about all the others. If you’re taking votes, I vote for either of the books that aren’t the Princess Bride (another one I read last year- and the other 2 sound fun!). I would also propose Twig. It doesn’t matter to me if you pick that since I’ve read it (though I’d read it again with you) but I’m throwing it out there because I randomly picked it up last year and had never heard of it. I think it was on Kindle Unlimited. But it was amazing!! I don’t know why it’s not talked about more! I think you all would enjoy it.

For the spookathon books, they all sound great. I loved reading 'The Dollhouse Murders' when I first read it as a child. For some reason, I was scared whenever I read those old books like The Dollhouse Murders... but now I read them and I go 'I was scared of this!?', lol. I can't wait to read Pippi Longstocking. I remember watching a tv show when I was a kid but never read the book. I have many of these books on my shelves so it will be easy to reach for them. :)

I'm curious about what the book Twig is about. May I have the author's name please? :)

Constanza (connie_s) hello :) I have read Charlotte's web as my only "children's book" but I would like to try something similar. can you recommend me something? secret garden perhaps? I am quite a beginner. cheers!

Ashley Jacobson | 181 comments I would throw Heidi in to any list of good children’s books. I also love EB Whites other book Stuart Little and want to read the Trumpet and the Swan (is that what it’s called?). Babe is similar to Charlottes Web.

The authors or Twig is Elizabeth Orton Jones and I’m excited you’re going to look it up. If you read it, let me know what you think!

My library doesn't have this book, but it definitely sounds like something I would love. <3

It's called The Trumpet Of The Swan. And what a great book! I read it long ago, I still have my tattered copy. Thank you for reminding me of it! :)
