okay so i finished the five chapters! it's interesting so far but larissa moons over chase too much?? like to the point where she's obsessed and it's kind of getting on my nerves :')and one part rubbed me in the wrong where it says something like (view spoiler) i'm not sure if it's just me or something though!

you're not a bother at all! i'm on chapter 6 right now. i don't really like larissa so far, she's obsessed with chase so much and it's unhealthy at this point. i few like she doesn't really have a personality besides liking him.
i kinda got a certain ~vibe~ from that part (where it said "what do you call someone who's not a girlfriend/boyfriend, a nonbinary friend?") I'm not really sure why.

exactly! it's practically her only personality trait. besides subtly yearning for jasmine.oh a ~vibe~? i'm betting it's supposed to be said in a negative way?
and there was a part where she was at jasmine's friend's party and when she was being introduced, the race/ethnicity of each friend was specifically named, which was kind of,, weird?? i'm not sure how to describe it.
yes, i got a weird vibe about it, like you said it didn't really sit well with me but i'm probably overthinking it. and same with the jasmine's friend's party thing, it was pretty strange-

cool! i'll try to catch up today. im not really liking it that much so far, i find larissa really problematic
these are the problematic parts i've highlighted so far:
"with biceps so beautifully carved i wanted to lick them."
larissa literally said that. if someone had a crush on me and was thinking of licking my biceps i would be EXTREMELY creeped out, i just feel like thats not okay.
"the way his msucles ripple.... the way his footwork looks like a manly dance" wtf? manly dance is kinda misogynistic if you think about it, plus, this author is trying to portray teens with crushes and getting it EXTREMELY wrong. i don't think most teenagers fantasise about licking their crushes abs. no no no
there was this one part where larissa is walking in front of chase, and she said she was "glad she wore good-butt jeans" to work. if someone is walking behind you, that doesn't mean you need to make your butt look good for them wtf.
then there's this part where she stares at his ass for like ten minutes, which wHAT THE FAWK THEY BARELY KNOW EACH OTHER AND AT THIS POINT IN THE STORY THEY WEREN'T EVEN ON A DATE NOOOO
This next part made me extremely mad. When larissa says that someone shouldn't be talking about a girls body in public, and then HER ONLY REASON WHY is that he hasn't seen her body up close?? excuse me NO

WTF ew i missed all of these probably because i was skimming over her nasty thoughts. these quotes are making it sound like some wattpad book. so we have (possible) queerphobia and misogynist comments. love that for us!!

I'm on chapter 7! I'm pretty bored with the plot and the characters are pretty bland and confusing.
this book is pretty hard to get into. i hope i won't dnf it :(
