Let's get to know each other a little bit.

This month all books nomination for May's Group Read need to be about you. Specifically where you're from. Or where you've been from.

All nominated books must be historical fiction that takes place somewhere you have lived at some point in your life. However, I'm not looking for something broad. I want details. Example - if you live in Germany, you need to nominate a book that takes place in Germany. Not one that takes place in Europe. If you live in the United States, you need to nominate a book that takes place in a specific state. You can't say you live in Montana and nominate a book that takes place in California. Say you were born in California? Then you could nominate a book set in California. THE BOOK'S LOCATION MUST BE INCLUDED IN YOUR NOMINATION TO COUNT!

REMINDERS
NO SELF NOMINATIONS - We're done reminding people not to do this. If you do, your comment will be deleted and you'll be removed from the group.
EVERYONE GETS ONE NOMINATION AND ONE SECOND - Please make sure you are clearly stating if you are nominating or seconding a book. It just makes it easier for moderators to keep track of what's going on.
THREE THINGS NEED TO BE INCLUDED IN YOUR NOMINATION POST OR IT WILL NOT BE COUNTED- 1.) TITLE 2.) AUTHOR 3.)LOCATION BOOKS TAKES PLACE - If any of these three things are missing, the nomination will not be counted.
-------NEW AND VERY, VERY IMPORTANT REMINDER------
The list of all the books we have ever read as a group is located right here:
https://www.goodreads.com/group/books...
There are over 150 books on this list -DOUBLE, TRIPLE, QUADRUPLE CHECK THIS LIST BEFORE NOMINATING A BOOK TO MAKE SURE WE HAVE NOT READ IT BEFORE.

Want to better understand our nomination process? This thread tells you everything you need to know.

This thread will remain open until 3/16.

Stephanie wrote: "I nominate “Outlander” by Diana Gabaldon as I live in North Carolina and the setting in most of the series takes place is there."

Other books in the series take place in North Carolina but the first one does not take place in the United States at all so I'm going to say this nomination doesn't count.
