My reading goal is 65 books. I'm currently 9 books ahead, but I am starting graduate school in the fall, so I'm hesitant to up my goal in case I have to devote a lot of my current reading time to school instead. I am not participating in any challenges other than to read what my IRL book club group wants to read, but I always challenge myself to read a good mix of genres, and to read diverse authors. What about you ladies? (PS: I'm 1dog2dogreddogbluedog on instagram, just so you know who I am!)
My goal is 104 books so two a week. I am ahead so far so that is nice. I am doing lots of challenges mostly based on reading translated literature and the Reading Women Challenge.

Amazing, Miriam! So nice to connect. That's an incredible goal, and I totally understand about the extra time commitments. I'm wrapping up grad school myself next month. Haha!
My personal goal is 43 (my age). I've been able to read in the mid-forties in the past, but last year was only 27 *shurgs*... so I think there's something so true about giving yourself the space that your life demands. :)

That's absolutely incredible! Are you a relatively fast reader, or do you listen to audiobooks also? I read twice as much because of listening to audiobooks myself.
The Reading Women Challenge has been such a wonderful way for me to stretch myself and what I'd typically read. That happens in my book club too-- quite often it's a title that I wouldn't have otherwise picked for myself. And there's something so cool about that. Incidentally, my sister Emily is the first one who introduced me to the RWC!

hi all! my goal for this year is 40 books... i've already ready 10 so i'm nicely on track. i tend to increase my goal year over year by a book or two, though last year i KILLED my goal because of quarantine. i anticipate not reading as many this year but who knows...the only challenge i'm doing is probably the goodreads challenge itself. though i do want to try and read a bit more non fiction this year. its not my favorite typically, but i know there are some really amazing books out there.
I originally set a goal to read 24 books (2 a month), but I am already at 20 books. I probably won’t be able to read as much this summer while I’m taking term courses, bu I think I might be able to get to 30 books!

That's amazing, Amanda! So incredible that you were able to read so much last year! Ironically, I had the opposite experience and I feel like quarantine just melted my brain and all I could do was watch truly terrible television. Haha!
I also love your idea of increasing your goals each year. I'm hoping to do that myself. I'm reading my age this year and if I keep that goal up, it will naturally increase by 1 each year.... :)

That's so great that you're already so far ahead! Even with additional coursework, I bet you'll be able to reach or even surpass your goal. :)
