March Mini Challenge 1 - Set In Ireland

This can be on top of the 52 Prompts you read, or merged with them!

Here is our Listopia of Set In Ireland suggestions

The book you choose could be either partially or entirely set in Ireland, what are you reading for this?

Carol (cquan01) | 602 comments The Heart’s Invisible Furies by John Boyne came up on my search and has great reviews. I’ll go with that one.

Roberta I am currently reading: Angela's Ashes (Frank McCourt, #1) by Frank McCourt (prompt 10-fire) and The Book of Kells An Illustrated Introduction to the Manuscript in Trinity College, Dublin by Bernard Meehan (prompt 8-900 dewey) both set in Ireland. I am also reading The Return Journey by Maeve Binchy and as it does not fit for any other prompts--that I've found......--will work perfectly for this mini-challenge! Happy!

Karin | 2 comments I read several set in Ireland this month, and forgot to post them here!

Death in D Minor (Gethsemane Brown Mysteries #2) by Alexia Gordon , Killing in C Sharp (Gethsemane Brown Mysteries #3) by Alexia Gordon Fatality in F (Gethsemane Brown Mysteries #4) by Alexia Gordon Execution in E (Gethsemane Brown Mysteries #5) by Alexia Gordon

I read the first book in the series in February. At least one of these was used for one of the 52 prompts :)

Carol (cquan01) | 602 comments Do many options for this prompt. I was toying between two options and decided on Their Heart’s Invisible Furies. I saw someone post that The Guest List took place on an island off of Ireland. I am switching to that one and waiting on Their Heart’s Invisible Furies. Maybe for another prompt.🤔

I think I will be the last one to read The Guest List!

Karen O | 35 comments I just finished reading So Much Owed by Jean Grainger. This book is about WW2 and centered in Ireland. I loved it. 4 stars. I found the title in the list of Ireland books. I have found so many new books to me, that I would never have known about, if not for the comments y'all make and the lists. This book club is a great way to expand my reading. Thank y'all.
